Here’s how to peel, slice and dice fresh carrots. Use as an appetizer or snack, in salads, as an ingredient in another dish, and as a cooked vegetable. No need to wash since you will peel the carrots. ______1.

Get fresh carrots. Get peeler. Get cutting board. Get clean knife. Get fresh carrots, a clean peeler, a clean cutting board and a clean, sharp knife.

Peel. Using the peeler, remove the peel from each carrot. Throw away the peel.

Cut stem. Put one peeled carrot at a time on to the cutting board and, using the knife, cut off the stem end (thickest end) of the carrot. Throw away the stem end.

Cut larger pieces. To cut larger pieces, use the knife to cut the carrot into two or three fairly equal sized pieces. Use the knife to cut each of these pieces lengthwise so they will not be so thick. Continue cutting lengthwise until you are satisfied with the thickness of your carrot slices.

Cut bite sized. To cut smaller, bite sized pieces, use the knife to continue cutting the carrots from step 4. Or, cut the whole carrot from step 3 into round one half inch thick pieces.
