GAME NOTES OPENING TIP

The playoff push continues with two of the top five teams in the Centennial Conference meeting today inside Bream Gym. ALL-TIME SERIES Ursinus holds a 28-23 edge over Gettysburg in the all-time series. The Bullets have won the last 10 meetings in Gettysburg. The teams have split the season series in each of the last five seasons. LAST MEETING Senior Jessica Porter reached 1,000 career points in Gettysburg’s 61-54 victory over Ursinus on Jan. 14. Trailing 42-40 heading into the final quarter, the Bullets went on a 10-0 run to seize the lead for good. The win was Gettysburg’s first inside Helfferich Hall in over five years. Porter finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore Emily Gibbons contributed 22 points and eight boards. Jessica Porada led Ursinus with 23 points. LAST TIME OUT Gettysburg racked up a dozen blocked shots in a 53-42 win over Dickinson this past Wednesday. The Bullets led 18-6 after the first quarter and the lead reached as many as 18 in the final period. Freshman Emma Dorshimer paced the team with 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Senior Emily Duggan contributed eight points, four rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and three steals. Sophomore Annie Reilly corralled a careerhigh 11 rebounds and blocked five shots. SENIOR DAY Gettysburg will recognize its three seniors prior to today’s game. Emily Duggan, Jessica Porter, and Kim Ryan have led the Bullets to

new heights over the last four years. The team has won at least 16 games in four consecutive seasons for the first time in program history, and the trio has had a hand in 69 wins during that time period. As freshmen, they helped Gettysburg secure its first Centennial Conference championship and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament. Porter is one of only two Bullets ever to score more than 1,000 points, grab more than 600 rebounds, and block more than 100 shots. Duggan has missed only three games during her collegiate career and she is one of only five Bullets with 500 rebounds and 180 assists. Ryan has seized her opportunity as a starter this winter with her 4.1 assists per game standing as the highest average by a Bullet in over two decades. SCOUTING URSINUS...  Ursinus dropped Washington 63-52 in its last contest on Feb. 8. Senior Caroline Shimrock paced the team with 16 points, while senior Jessica Porada picked up 14 points and nine rebounds. Senior Alyssa Polimeni added 12 points and became the 14th member of the Bears’ 1,000-point club.  Senior Jessica Porada ranks third in the conference in scoring at 15.1 points per game. She has reached double-figures in all but two outings this year, including a season-high 24 against Johns Hopkins.  Today’s game is a homecoming for the Ursinus coaching staff. Head Coach Margaret White ’09 was a four-year letterwinner for the Bullets and ranks among the program’s all-time leaders in three-pointers made (5th, 118). Assistant Coach Jenna Swope ’15 was a two-year starter and helped steer Gettysburg to its first Centennial Conference title in 2013.
