"I wish to have no connection with any ship that does not sail fast, for I intend to go in harm's way." - Captain John Paul Jones (1778) Announcements: 1. CFA: Due to inclement weather, our CFA has been rescheduled to Saturday, 20 October. We will begin at 0730 with Alpha Section, followed by Bravo Section at 0830. Based on scheduling conflicts, we will conduct the test on the intramural field beside Flato dorm. Your chain of command will issue additional information as it is developed. 2. Honor Code and Standards of Conduct Presentation: We will conduct the Honor and Conduct presentation on Tuesday, 16 October. The ceremony will take place at 1930 in Ballroom 1 of the CACC. On the evening of the ceremony, all Greystone students will report to the ballroom at 1845 to conduct a rehearsal of the document signing portion of the ceremony. We will coordinate for those that have First Tee support that evening to return to campus in time to make the rehearsal at 1845. Students will wear business attire for the ceremony, including nametag and lapel pin. Students with late classes should plan to wear their business attire to those classes to alleviate the need to return to the dorm to change. We will begin Study Hall at 2030, or as soon as practicable following the ceremony. 3. Hatchett Lecture Series: We will conduct the first session of the Hatchett Character Lecture series on Thursday, 18 October at 1900 in Ballroom # 3 of the CACC. Our speaker will be the series namesake, Dr. Ron Hatchett. Students will wear business attire for the ceremony, including nametag and lapel pin. Students with late classes should plan to wear their business attire to those classes to alleviate the need to return to the dorm to change. Students will also bring note-taking material. We will begin Study Hall at 2030, or as soon as practicable following the lecture. 4. Marine Corps Scholarship Process: We will participate in interviews for the Marine Corps scholarship on Thursday, 18 October starting at 1000.
