Old Business A. Meeting Minutes 1. January 11, 2012 meeting minutes were amended regarding uniform costs. Uniform cost was increased from $20.00 per player to $25.00 per player after receiving some uniform pricing quotes. 2. January 11, 2012 Association Meeting Minutes were then approved and accepted by the Board. B. Fundraiser/Raffle 1. Gretchen Geibel spoke about several fundraising ideas. Our primary fundraiser will be selling raffle tickets to win monetary prizes in the amounts of a $500.00 first prize, $300.00 second prize and $100.00 third prize. We will also have a contest with a monetary prize for the player selling the most tickets. a. Each player will be responsible to sell $50.00 in tickets (10 tickets) b. A family of 2 or more players will be responsible for $100.00 in tickets. 2. Another idea is to have 50/50 tickets available for purchase at the concession stand. This could be for a weekly or monthly drawing. 3. For tournaments, a program could be available. Players would sell ads for the program. C. Team Rosters 1. As of registration on February 4, 2012, it appears there is enough interest in an 8U division. Managers/coaches will be needed. New Business A. Mercer County Fastpitch Association information – Dan Black 1. 6 communities are interested in an 8U division. 2. Fast pitch tournaments will be held during the week (Mon-Thurs) to accommodate travel team players that play on the weekends. This was voted on and passed by the Mercer Co. Association. a. Ed Chess expressed his concern that tournaments on week days will negatively affect concession sales vs. tournaments on weekends. 3. All fastpitch managers/coaches clearances must be submitted to the Mercer Co. Assoc. by April 1, 2012. 4. Pitcher’s mound measurements: 10U @ 35ft; 12U @ 40 ft; and 14U @ 43ft. 5. Next Mercer Co. meeting is February 26, 2012. Dan Black will attend. 1

Coach Clearances 1. Fast pitch clearances are mandatory for Mercer County Fastpitch Association. We will make this mandatory for our Hermitage Slowpitch coaches as well. 2. What is the cost of clearances? 3. Who will be responsible to pay for clearances? Consensus of those in attendance was that coaches/managers should be responsible for obtaining and paying for their own. C. Manager/Coach Assignments 1. Board meeting will be scheduled. All interested managers must attend and be approved by the board.
