For those of you that do not know, we began a building project on July 3rd on a kitchen and a nursery at our church. Pending just a couple of details, the project was completed on August 19!
The last two pictures in the previous column are of the kitchen. Everything turned out really nice and we are really pleased with it, praise the Lord! Below you will see on the left a picture of me and Celso. One of the young women of our church invited Celso to church. After several weeks and having heard the Gospel from her and at church he came to me asking how he could be saved. So we sat and talked. Once I knew he understood everything satisfactorily, I prayed with him and he trusted our Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior! He lives about 40 minutes away from our church and he has missed two Sundays already because of his job, but I stay in touch with him and he seems to be remaining firm in the faith until now. I hope to be able to do some follow up Bible studies with him in an effort to strengthen him even more in the faith.
The two pictures above are of the outside of this referred to annex. It really looks better in person and the pictures I am posting here do not do it justice!
Here you can see the inside of the nursery. I need to install the light fixtures yet. The painter also left a lot of paint on the floor, so we are slowly trying to scrub it off the floor tile.
I am not sure if you all remember, but over a year ago, Vinicius (above on the right), made a profession of faith at our house. He did not remain faithful for very long and disappeared for a while. He loves to surf, but many of his friends were a bad influence on him. With tear filled eyes, he told me a couple of weeks ago that he had begun to smoke marijuana. He said he did not know why he suddenly stopped, but he began to attend church again for more than a month now. He has been faithful ever since and I have begun to do a Bible study with him on Wednesday mornings. He lives with his grandparents and they say he is a changed young person!
