Occasionally, we receive leaflets or information from local businesses and organisations. If we feel they may be of interest to you as parents and carers, we will include them in our fortnightly newsletter. We would, however, wish to make clear that by the inclusion of such literature, the school neither promotes nor endorses such products, events or services.

TERM DATES Please note that there has been a slight change to our term dates for Summer term 2016 (not this year!!). The staff training day on Monday 11th April has been moved to Thursday 21st July. A full list of term dates for 2015-16 is at the end of this newsletter.
SCHOOL DINNERS School dinner money for the Summer first half term is as follows: Daily Weekly Summer 1st Half Term
£2.15 £10.75 £62.35
Please note that dinner money is payable in advance through SIMS Agora and your co-operation with early payment is much appreciated. Parents are always welcome to join their children at lunchtime in the dining hall for a hot meal. The cost of an adult meal is £3.00. We also offer parents the opportunity to join their child on their birthday for a “birthday” lunch. This is open to all our pupils taking hot school meals where they can host a birthday table and invite their parents (or other family members) and their friends to join them. Please note adult meals should be paid by cash or cheque via the school office.
CELEBRATION ASSEMBLIES Don’t forget our Celebration Assemblies on Tuesday mornings at 9am. The parents of those children who are receiving our main awards will be specifically invited. However, we would like as many parents as possible to join us for these assemblies to make it extra special for all the children.
RED NOSE DAY Thank you so much for your support with this year’s Red Nose Day campaign; the children and staff had a fabulous day with their funny faces and red noses! We raised a total of £105.60 for Comic Relief and hopefully this will be doubled as the UK government has agreed to match up to £10 million raised by UK schools.
REMINDER Please can we remind you that children are not permitted to wear trainers or nail varnish to school. A copy of our Uniform Code is attached to this newsletter for your information.
PARK & RIDE – CAMBRIDGE Hop at the chance of an affordable family day out this Easter – with 2 for 1 travel from Cambridge Park & Ride. An ‘eggs-citing’ new offer means it’s now only £3.70 for a family of up to 5 to travel into Cambridge during the school holidays. The ‘cheep’ 2 for 1 adult ticket is available from the bus drivers at Park & Ride sites around the city. The £3.70 total includes the £1 cost of parking as well as the £2.70 2 for 1 adult ticket - up to 3 children under 16 can travel for free with a paying passenger on all Park & Ride buses. Anyone taking up the offer can make use of the County Council’s online parking payment facilities at www.cambridgeparkandride.com to skip the machines and hop straight on the bus. All passengers must travel together to take advantage of the offer, which is only available directly from the bus drivers from Sunday, 29 March to Sunday, 12 April. The offer is available at: Newmarket Road, Madingley Road, Babraham Road, Milton and Trumpington Park & Ride sites. The Easter discount is not valid on the Busway.
