Facilities Report – Whit Green
Jason Lewis agreed to take on role as facilities manager with Tim McDonald volunteering to assist; motion – Tim McDonald, 2nd Dave Hunter Vote- 100% unanimous Need all VPs to provide vendor contacts that they use for three wheelers, gators, etc. Whit spoke to vendor regarding the replacement of 8 light poles around the baseball field next to the field house. Cost will be approximately $53,000 Need to set the light on the correct timer outside the field house Tim needs cleaning supplies for work day and as well as air conditioning filters It was proposed that signs are needed to direct patrons to the field house. Whit will ask the city for permanent signs or ask the city to allow KYA to install.
Sport VPs Reports Baseball/Select Baseball – Kirk Rogers
Registration is closed. Player participation is down 10% from prior years. The decrease is less than expected due to the implementation of non resident fees. Field workday is March 4-6
Working on KYA nights at High School March 29, April 4, or April 11 – players will have first pitches Coaches list distributed, over 150; some have multiple teams; includes league select and rec coaches contingent on their clearing the background check Motion to approve 2014 Spring Coaches list – Motion – Kirk Rogers 2nd Paul Quinones, Vote 100% unanimous Received a quote from BSN Sports (League Direct) to replace backstop padding on fields 15, 16,17, 1 & 2 (expect the city to pay for 1 &2). Motion to accept bid not to excel $6414.81, Motion – Kirk Rogers 2nd Tim McDonald, Vote – 100% unanimous
Softball – Jim Hicks
Registration is closed, 460 total players which is up over last spring’s total enrollment; there were some that didn’t register due to non-resident fees, but still improved over last spring. There will be 40 total teams Coaches look will be Thursday, with the draft next Monday-Tuesday. Saturday, March 17 is field day. March 17 opening day In contact with Uniform vendor Coaches list distributed, majority have passed the background check; Motion to approve coaches list pending final background checks Motion – Jim Hicks, 2nd Jason Lewis Vote 100%
Basketball – Amy Brubaker
The season is almost complete, with 2 more games left and then tournament scheduled for 2/24 Tournament will run the week of 2/24 with the championship game on March 1 The tournament will be bracketed

Registration is closed Participation is almost 435 players, up about 10% from last Spring Coaches list was distributed – all Coaches have passed background check Motion to approve Coaches list – Paul Quinones 2nd Kirk Rogers, Vote 100% unanimous

Planning to get non-resident list over to the City of Keller in the next two weeks June 1st is the beginning of the new year for KYA – many board positions terminate and are up for reelection. Time to think is you plan to continue your position as VP or board member. Whit announced his desire to step down as President and focus on football and coaching Looking for someone to step into the role as President – this role is mostly administrative, more of a liaison with the city and scheduling the sports park
New Business
There have been some scheduling conflicts with the KYA Field House Reminder to reservations must go through Glen Redfren, Executive VP. Garvin Fouts was asked to design a tracking system for reservations of the field house on the website. Proposed to purchase a ½ white board ½ cork board with a locked cover to note the schedule and events occurring at the field house
March meeting will be skipped due to conflict of games and practices with baseball, softball and football. Next meeting will be Monday, April 21, 2014. Motion to adjourn: Jason Lewis 2nd Paul Quinones Vote: 100% unanimous
