New business 1.
The 501c3 application has been approved. a. Once the online system has been updated, we will move forward on Grants. b. If any potential sponsor needs a W/9, we now have them. 2. Business cards were handed out to board members 3. The lease agreement was re-written by William Bartos and reviewed by board members. All agreed that a paragraph needs added to protect us against the City of Canton dropping us once we make all the improvements. Jamie will review and have added to the lease. Lease will be signed by the 3 Commissioners. 4. Background Checks have been narrowed down to Stark CJIS and Sex Offender Registry a. Josh will make sure all coaches have background checks done before coaching 5. Jamie will create a Facebook page for Lady Wildcats Youth Softball 6. Early Spring league for $500 that runs 6-7 weeks is available 7. A meeting to choose uniforms will be planned for a later date. Kelly McKenzie will get together 3 options for the board to vote on. We are going with Dumonts because they offered to sponsor and take that off the cost of the uniforms. 8. We are now approved to accept credit cards for sponsorship or sign up fees. We are charged 2.29% + $0.19 per transaction and $4.95 monthly charge. A 3% surcharge will be added to anyone wanting to pay for sign ups with a credit card to cover our cost. 9. Chipolte fund raiser is Sunday, November 26, 2017 4:00-8:00 West Tuscarawas location. a. Customers must have the flyer for the Lady Wildcats Youth Softball to get credit. b. Flyer was submitted to the school for approval 11/7/17, will be passed out on 11/17/17 c. Email blast will be sent to parents now, a few days before and the day of event d. Please share flyer on social media and pass out flyers 10. November 11, 2017 will be Central fields work day for new posts to go in around the parking lots. A 12” auger has been donated. Work will begin at 10:00 am. 11. We need to start working on a way to bring the youth program together with the high school program. Josh will work with the high school coach to help build the relationships. This will be discussed at a later meeting.
