Property Found in a popular and desirable Chestfield location on a private road is this attractive three bedroom detached bungalow which is set back from the road and stands on a large plot. The property has been maintained in excellent condition throughout and provides well-proportioned living accommodation. There is double glazing, central heating and oak flooring. The delightful lounge/diner has an attractive fireplace with a woodburner and double doors leading to the garden. The kitchen has a comprehensive range of units as well as integrated hob, oven and dishwasher. There is also a utility room. The master bedroom also benefits from an en-suite shower room. Externally, to the front there is a block-paved driveway providing off street parking for numerous vehicles and also leading to the single garage. To the rear the long garden is laid mainly to lawn but is wellstocked with a variety of flowers, plants and trees. There are also two paved patio areas. Local shops and facilities are close-by including a Sainsbury’s supermarket and Chestfield village also has its own 18-hole golf course, public house and cricket club. There is also a mainline railway station providing a regular service to London and the Kent Coast. The quaint fashionable seaside town of Whitstable is approximately 2 miles away where you will find a wide variety of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants.
Our Time Here We moved into our Bungalow thirteen years ago. We were looking at another property, which was too big for us and I went to turn the car round when I saw this bungalow for sale. It looked very nice with a large front. This was on the Sunday and we came down from Essex on Monday and made an offer which was accepted. We enjoy sitting in the lounge with our log fire burning when it is cold and wet outside. In the summer we open the patio doors and look at the birds and the garden. We both like the local amenities; you have the doctor's just down the road, together with a supermarket and B&Q within a couple of minutes away. Whitstable and the coast are only 2 miles away. And of course you are only 5 miles from Canterbury. The train station is only just down the road. The Bungalow is very convenient for the 18-hole Golf Course and "The Barn" Restaurant. Overall Chestfield is a very nice village. The neighbours are very nice people and we will miss all of them. This is a wonderful property and we are only moving due to the size of the garden, which I can't cope with now due to being disabled. We will really miss this property but feel it is time to move on.
