THE SERIES: Mount Saint Vincent leads, 4-1. This is the first meeting between the schools since October 14, 1989. MSV won, 2-1, on a neutral court in New York, NY. The only meeting in Jersey City came on October 2, 1986; the Dolphins won, 3-2. LAST TIME OUT: On Saturday, NJCU went 0-3 at the CCNY Quad, falling to Ramapo College, 3-0, City College of New York, 3-2 and SUNY Old Westbury, 3-1. Jade Medley became just the fifth known player in school history to record 25 kills in a match in the loss to CCNY, hitting .316 with four blocks. It was the 46th 25-kill performance ever by a Gothic Knight (joining three-time NJAC Player of the Year Lizzelle Cintron, along with Cara Strzelczyk, Melissa Pablos and Lucille Villaplana on the charts. Amanda Dopico had a careerhigh 28 digs and Kiara Martinez had a career-best 20 digs, while Cindy Garcia achieved a personal best with 39 assists. In the loss to Old Westbury, Garcia tallied her 10th double-double of the season with 19 assists and 18 digs and Martinez had a career-high eight kills and hit .412. Medley had seven kills and three blocks. In the loss to Ramapo, Medley hit .280 with seven kills. MORE MEDLEY: In NJCU’s 3-0 sweep of St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn) on October 17, Medley had a then career-high 16 kills. She has reached double figures in kills six times this season and had three or more blocks seven times. CLIMBING THE CHARTS: Tabitha Jordan enters the match ranking ninth in school history in kills with 635. Next on the all-time list is Glorinell Perez with 633 kills from 2004-07 and Bernadette Fash with 680 winners from 1992-95, in eighth and seventh places, respectively. Jordan also has 722 career digs. A LITTLE ON THE DOLPHINS: Mount Saint Vincent is in seventh place of 10 in the Skyline Conference. MSV is 5-5 in away matches this year but 1-10 on neutral courts. Mount is 3-3 over its last six matches. Renee Reynes leads the Skyline in digs per set.
