Fun Science Fact Did you know that Diamonds are the hardest minerals found on Earth? There are still place available for the FREE flower arranging course. If you are interested please approach Miss Cox in the playground or call the school office.

School closes on Friday 27th May and re-opens on Monday 6th June
Apple
In Apple tree class we have been thinking about the changing seasons. We have explored the blossom on the trees in our outdoor classroom and we enjoyed a visit from the butterflies which year one have been looking after. As part of our super hero topic the children have been making masks and dancing like heroes. 3 Birch The year 3 children had a very exciting Friday afternoon where they hosted their very first Northfield House tea party. This afternoon was a way to celebrate the end of their topic, which was about what makes Great Britain "Great" and what better way is there than to have a tea party! The year 3 children had spent all week writing invitations to parents, carers even teachers as well as make traditional British desserts for the tea party. They began the afternoon by singing "All things bright and beautiful" and then served their guests food and drinks. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came and made this afternoon so special.

A group of enthusiastic KS1 and KS2 students visited Watermead Country Park to take part in The National Bug Hunt 2016. From Wolf Spiders to Lilly Beatles, the children made some fantastic discoveries!
