Principal’s Message
Title 1 School Sheridan
Elementary School is a Title 1 school. The district Title 1 program provides classroom materials, trained paraprofessionals who assist classroom teachers with interventions, reading intervention specialists, and professional development. Title 1 offers more teachers and training. You can help our Title 1 program by participating in your child’s education, be aware of your child’s performance on state assessments, talk about homework with your child, and volunteer to serve at your child’s school. Thank you all for participating in our first ever Fall Friday! It was great to see so many parents involved with the activities planned for the students. We hope to continue this event in the Spring. We welcome parents to work with our staff at SES to make learning fun for everyone. We look forward to seeing you in the Spring!
Curriculum Carnival Night This year for our curriculum night the teachers are planning literacy and math games/activities to help show you strategies to use with your child at home. You will also leave with a Curriculum packet filled with strategies, manipulatives, a book, and other great resources to help your child at home. We will also hold our annual Title 1 meeting prior to the curriculum night. Afterwards you and your family can stay to enjoy a Fall Carnival provided by PTO.
