QUILTS & KREATIONS 2015 SPRING 2015 Dear Friends, Spring has finally arrived. It sure was one heck of a winter. We all have been craving warm sunny Spring days. Spring is the time for new beginnings, the trees and the flowers are starting to bloom. It is also the perfect time to start a new project to perk up your home. Our shelves are well stocked with all the latest fabrics to complete all of the projects you will be making. Please take a moment to read over our class schedule, hopefully you will find a class that will interest you. Our annual Spring Fever Sale will be held Thursday May 21 through Saturday May 23. All merchandise will be 20% off. Some exclusions apply. If you are looking for some real bargains, then you will want to check out our Classroom Clearance Frenzy. We have pulled several bolts from our shelves which will be marked to 50% off. Minimum cuts will be 1 yard on the 50% off fabric. Remnants will 50% off. Selected panels will be 40% off. We will also have several “skinny bolts” with approximately 3 yards of fabric or less for 30% off, but you must finish the bolt for this price. We have to make room for new merchandise. Quilts & Kreations is very excited to be celebrating it’s 35th Anniversary and my 23rd year as owner of Quilts & Kreations this summer. I can not believe how fast the past 23 years have passed by. I have seen so many changes in the quilting industry over the years. Not only have the styles of fabrics changed, but there are so many new tools and techniques today to make our quilting experience so much easier. We had such a wonderful Anniversary celebration last summer that we decided to repeat many of our celebration events for our 35th Anniversary. This celebration will start June 22 and continue through September 19. Starting June 22 when you shop at Quilts & Kreations you will earn one Quilts & Kreations Buck for every $25.00 that you spend (some restrictions will apply). These Q&K Bucks may be used as entries for the Chinese Auction that we will be having on September 19. You will have the opportunity to win one of many gift baskets. On Saturday, September 19 we will wrap up our celebration with a huge sale and many fun activities. Watch your mail for a personal invitation to this celebration. Quilts & Kreations will be participating in the Row By Row Experience this summer. It is a shop hop that where there are no passports and no fees. Many quilt shops in all 50 states and Canada will be participating. You will have from June 21 to September 8 to visit shops to receive a free pattern for a row quilt. Combine at least 8 rows to create a unique quilt that represent the fun you had traveling thought out the summer. Be the first to bring your quilt back into the shop and receive a stack of 25 fat quarters. If your quilt uses our row you will receive a bonus gift. Go to www.rowbyrowexperience for more information. After a long delay, the arrival of the BERNINA 350 Special Edition Ricky Tims and Tula Pink machines have arrived. The machines have exclusive faceplates, 191 stitches, the BERNINA free hand system, full shank presser feet and a bonus BERNINA walking food and a free motion quilting foot. Stop in today to give one of these beauties a test drive. There is a limited supply and once they are gone, they are gone! We are also offering some of our floor model machines at some great prices, they are gently used and they all come with full warranties. We only have one machine per style, so do not hesitate, they will sell quickly. Our annual Shipshewana, Indiana bus trip will be on Wednesday May 20 and seats are still available. Shipshewana is an Amish community filled with many interesting craft, antique, and quilt shops. We will be going on Wednesday when the huge flea market will be open. If you love to shop and you love crafts and such, then this is the perfect trip for you. Mark your calendar, and ask your boss for the day off. The price of the trip will be $74.00 and will include round trip bus transportation, snacks, dinner, tax and dinner gratuities.. We are once again offering our summer sewing camp for children. Susan does a wonderful job coordinating this yearly event. It will run from July 13 to the 17. This is the perfect opportunity to get you children or grandchildren to learn how to sew, and to create the future quilters of tomorrow. There will be two classes, one is for the beginner sewer and the other is for the advanced sewer. We suggest that the children know how to operate a sewing machine and sew a straight line.
