Little Learner Newsletter Autumn 2 2015 Personal, Social and Emotional Development
We have been sharing our toys and taking turns, we have being using our kind hands in Little Learners and have met a puppet called Betty who is our new Little Learner friend. She loves to come and play with us and help us to make good choices. We have been sharing our photographs and stories of Half Term holiday week in our welly boots!!
Communication and Language
We would like to say Thank You to families and children who participated in our story session at Little Learners, we loved sharing our favorite stories and songs with you all.
We have been learning new nursery rhymes & action songs. Our favourites are Insey Winsey Spider & Wind the Bobbin up. We have loved sharing stories with props especially ‘That’s not my frog’ and ‘Dinosaur Roar’. We have enjoyed Dinosaur land, we have loved exploring We hope that you will all enjoy the library service the different textures and making new homes and food and continue sharing stories together before bed. for the dinosaurs. It is so important to be involved with your child’s play and development.
You can help by… Continuing to provide information alongside photos/drawings of what we have been up to at home with our families,

Physical Development
We have been exploring the outdoors, we love to throw and catch the balls and ride the bikes around the yard. We are very excited about the mud kitchen opening too!! We have been practicing our fine motor skills. We have played with pompoms, acorns and have been marking in the paint and sand using only our index finger and thumb. You can help by... Mark making with me in flour or helping me hold a pencil in my whole hand, maybe I can help to make your shopping list!

Children in Need Friday 13th November We dressed up as superheroes and walked to school with family, friends and teachers. THANK YOU FOR JOINING US!
Check your child’s tray for pictures and important information.
Christmas Stay and Play sessions AM Session Tuesday 8th December 10.30am PM Session Thursday 10th December 2pm Little Learner’s Sing a long for Christmas AM Session Tuesday 15th December 10.30am PM Session Thursday 17th December 2pm
Please can all of our Little Learner friends leave toys at home and put comforters into trays at the beginning of each session.
We love to play outside in all weather, please ensure you bring a warm and waterproof coat, hat and welly boots that are clearly labelled.
