unit 4: rescued to a kingdom lesson 33: Rescued to a Kingdom: No Place for Lust

Dear Parents, Hello again! We are continuing our study through The Rescue. This week’s lesson was a really awesome time of practical discussion on battling a struggle that many teens and adults struggle with - lust. I hope your student was encouraged by the discussion. This week, the lesson was entitled “Rescued to a Kingdom: No Place for Lust” and it focused on helping students learn that as those who have been rescued to citizenship in God’s Kingdom, there is no place for lust anywhere in their lives. We looked at the following Scripture passages: • Matthew 5:27-30 • Exodus 20:14 • Exodus 20:17 You’ll enjoy reading these passages that speak of the countercultural life that Jesus is calling us to live in our relationships with others as we seek to faithfully follow Him.

Next Steps . . .

During the next week as you have time to talk with your child, consider asking the following questions: • I s your struggle with lust something that is difficult for you to talk about? Why? • How does trusting Jesus help us in our fight against sin? • W hat are some ways I can pray for you? Are there ways we can help hold you accountable? Thank you for all you do. If you have any questions about anything, please don’t hesitate to call me.
