The Costa Mesa Campus was the first of the six ROCKHARBOR campuses with a strong 17-year history. About the position This position is a temporary position from May 16th – July 15th. It will have a start date of May 16 and the position will be 20 hrs per week until June 6. June 6-17 the position will be 30 hrs per week, and starting June 20-July 10 the position will be 40 hrs per week. July 11-15 will be 20 hrs. We would like this position to start immediately. ROCKHARBOR Church VBS Temporary Associate Job duties: Assist in creating interest lists, groups, sites on VBS website and myRH. Scan and upload background checks and applications to individual myRH accounts Create new myRH accounts for volunteers who don’t have one and update those that already exist Work in partnership with Operations to secure permits, pay fees, and assess needs of various sites as needed. Visit site locations if there are questions of suitability. Work in partnership with RHCM Children’s Pastor and Finance department to secure payment and stay within budget restrictions. Order ALL supplies for VBS boxes (crafts, game supplies, first aid kits, cleaning supplies, etc.) Assistance before, during, and after each VBS training (3 total) Assist volunteers with signing up on myRH via phone, email, or in person Assist parents with understanding the multisite philosophy and direct them to a site closest to their home via phone, email, or in person Help distribute supply boxes to site leaders Week of VBS visit a few sites in your neighborhood Be a patio presence on Sundays when announcements for volunteers take place Meet with Children’s Pastor and Operations at the beginning of each week Qualifications Intimate and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ A self-starter Highly detail oriented Organizational, and communication skills are critical to this role.
