St. James’ Vestry Beth Karweick Background Beth was originally raised in Wisconsin, but has also lived in Texas and Minnesota. She and her family moved to Oldham County in 2003. Raised Roman Catholic, she was married in the Episcopal Church in 1981 and was baptized into the church in 1990 in Anoka, MN. She has worked in radio broadcasting for the past 29 years in various administrative capacities. She was also very active in the charter school her children attended when she lived in Minnesota sitting on the Transportation Board and Grant Writing committee. After moving to Kentucky she became involved, as a volunteer, with the Bicycle Motocross program (Treasurer, President and later State Commissioner) at Tom Sawyer Park for over 6 years. Currently, she is the Prayer Director of the Daughters of the King, is a member of the Episcopal Church Women, and is a second year student in the Education for Ministry program. She has been a member at St. James for the past 3 years and recently started as a Lector at the 8am service. She enjoys spending time with her husband. She has four children and four grandchildren and enjoys spending time with them when they are around. Animals are also part of the household, currently there is one dog, five cats and fish. When she finds time she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and various crafts.
