CAMP DIRECTOR

CAMP INFORMATION

Head Coach Stan Gouard enters his sixth season at UIndy. Gouard, a Danville, Ill., native and former University of Southern Indiana standout was named the UIndy coach on April 3, 2008. In the past four seasons the Greyhounds qualified for the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament. UIndy beat Division I Valparaiso University (2009–10) and nationally ranked University of Tennessee (2010–11) in exhibition contests. The Greyhounds have ranked as high as 5th in the country. The Hounds made the Division II NCAA Tournament consecutively for the past three seasons and in 2012 had the first postseason win in eight seasons. The 2011–12 season saw the Greyhounds defeat the #1 team in the country twice and hold a record of 4-2 against top-10 opponents. Keith Radcliff was named All-GLVC and Darius Adams and Adrian Moss were both named AllAmericans and All-GLVC twice. As an assistant coach, Gouard led UIndy to one of its most successful runs in history, compiling a 47–31 record and advancing to the NCAA Tournament each season from 2002 to 2005. Gouard helped mentor All-GLVC players Jason Wright, Lawrence Barnes, and three-time honoree David Logan. Logan became the league’s all-time leading scorer en route to earning NCAA Division II Player of the Year honors. During the 2004–05 season, the Greyhounds posted three victories over top-20 opponents and were ranked No. 7 nationally. As a player, Gouard led Southern Indiana to its first national championship. Gouard also led the Eagles to two GLVC championships and was twice named the NABC Division II National Player of the Year and the CBS/Chevrolet MVP of the National Championship game in 1994. At Southern Indiana, Gouard’s teams compiled an 82-12 record, and he ranks third in scoring, fifth in rebounding, and first in steals. Gouard was inducted into the John A. Logan College Hall of Fame in 1998, the Great Lakes Valley Conference Hall of Fame in 2003, and the University of Southern Indiana Hall of Fame in 2007.
