Walrus Classroom Newsletter October 3, 2016 Ms. Renee and Ms. Alma
[email protected] Walrus Families-
A very big thank you to our Walrus mom that volunteered to help tie dye class shirts. They turned out amazing. Each student created their own shirts. We spent this past week listening to J.S. Bach’s “Jesu” (yea-zu) - an uplifting chorale. We continued with nouns using the grammar boxes, compound words using the Skyscraper materials, static and dynamic multiplication intro to the bead frame, static addition with the golden beads, and The Animal and Plant Kingdom in Zoology and The Puzzle Maps covering the 7 continents/oceans in Geography. Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up. Please look for sign-ups soon. Volunteers will soon be able to come in to the classroom. Students are beginning to access Rosetta Stone and could use some guidance using the program. Please email me if you are interested and available to assist our students *Note: a Math website you might find helpful for your student is ixl.com. It has a variety of math skills to practice.
