KIDS & FAMILIES FAMILY BRIDGE | 8.20.2017 a weekly resource to connect church and home
What your child did this Sunday: Redeemer Kids (Nursery, Preschool & Sermon Session) This week we discussed when Mary anointed Jesus with an expensive perfume. We discussed that what happened in the days leading to Jesus’ death was part of God’s plan. Jesus said that Mary had prepared Him for burial (Matt. 26:12). Days later, Jesus died on the cross to rescue people from sin. On the third day, He rose from the dead. Jesus is alive! This week’s Bible passage: John 12:1-8 “Then Mary took about a pint[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.” Key Passage: Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free”
