1) New Business a. Minutes i) Minutes from the March meeting were approved. Minutes are posted on the FTSA website. b. Bike Rodeo i) The township will be holding a Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 23rd. FTSA is welcome to set up a table and participate. ii) Heather Cochran may be able represent FTSA. c. 2) Vice President Report (Tom Boracci) a. By-Law Review i) The by-law committee had their initial meeting. The committee reviewed proposed additions to the by-laws: (1) items to meet compliance with 501(c)3 requirements; (2) fines for teams conducting drills (other than shooting or goalkeeping) inside the 18; (3) term limits of two two-year terms; (4) president of FTSA cannot take another eboard position after their term is complete; (5) representative of each travel team must attend monthly FTSA meetings; (6) develop process for approval and posting of minutes; (7) mandatory annual travel team coaches meeting; (8) opt-out of recreation soccer for travel team players U11 and above; and (9) add a description of the play-off process to the by-laws ii) The by-law committee will review each proposal and decide which should be presented to the FTSA executive board for consideration at the June meeting.
2 3) President Report (Cathy Anthony) a. Discount Cards i) FTSA will be selling the cards through walk-in registration dates. All profits from those sales will go to the field maintenance fund. ii) 391 cards sold b. Little Kicks Soccer i) 37 players signed up; 5 are non-residents c. Spring Training Sessions i) Scheduled to begin April 25th ii) High school soccer players will be volunteering to help out. iii) 44 players have registered to attend. d. Spirit Wear i) A representative from MJ Corp will attend the May FTSA meeting to discuss setting up a website to sell FTSA spirit wear ahead of the fall season. e. Girls U9-U10 Team i) Tom Kurtz has approached FTSA about forming a girls travel team in the U9 or U10 age bracket. ii) More information at the next meeting. f. Code of Ethics and Play Rules i) These will be discussed at the next FTSA meeting. 4) Travel Coordinator Report (Chris Conti) a. No Report 5) Training Coordinator Report (Todd Moore) a. Training Sessions i) Beginning April 25, 2015; ii) Coaches will lead all sessions and each session will have a focus. Todd has located a coach for the goalkeeping session. 6) Field Coordinator Report (Bill Anthony) a. Field Lining i) Schedule for field lining responsibilities is on the FTSA website. Coaches must ensure the fields are lined on their scheduled week. b. Vets Field i) D’Imperio is going begin working on the fields in late May. This includes seeding and fertilizing. ii) The field will be closed during the renovation. Goals may be removed and snow fencing put up to discourage play on the field during the renovations. c. Future Projects i) Drainage needs to be addressed on M3. ii) FTSA is exploring adding lights to M3 and M4 fields. 7) Fundraising Report (Heather Cochran) a. No report
