1) New Business a. Minutes i) Minutes from the February meeting were approved. Minutes are posted on the FTSA website. b. Field Usage i) Locating indoor gym space and outdoor field space for practices is becoming difficult as the soccer program grows. ii) FTSA will work with the township and other recreation leagues to identify practice spaces. 2) Old Business a. Financial Audit i) Heather Cochran will be working with Tony Pastore on the 2014 audit. They will meet later this month to begin the process. b. 501(c)3 i) The process is moving forward. 3) Vice President Report (Tom Boracci) a. By-Law Review i) The by-law committee has been created and will hold two meetings to review the by-laws. It is anticipated that the by-laws will be presented to the FTSA executive board at the April or May meeting. ii) New items have been received from two members of the FTSA board for possible inclusion. b. Picture Day i) Picture day is scheduled for September 12, 2015 (FTSA opening day) ii) Vendor proposals have been received and Tom Boracci will be making a selection soon. 4) President Report (Cathy Anthony) a. Transition Plans i) All transition plans are due to the FTSA secretary. A few plans are still missing. b. Little Kicks soccer program has 27 kids registered. 5) Travel Coordinator Report (Chris Conti) a. Girls Teams i) Two weeks of play were missed due to the weather. One round of games will be added to the end of the season. A decision has not yet been made by SJGSL on the disposition of the second game. ii) FTSA supports a decision to reschedule the second game instead of cutting the length of the season.
2 b. Boys Teams i) Three weeks of play were missed due to the weather. Two rounds of games will be rescheduled, but a decision has not been made as to the disposition of the 3rd game. ii) FTSA supports rescheduling and playing the 3rd game. iii) SJSL will hold a meeting on March 19, 2015. A proposal to extend 8 v 8 play through U12 teams is on the agenda. FTSA supports this proposal. 6) Training Coordinator Report (Todd Moore) a. Training Days i) The email Cathy sent to FTSA members about interest in soccer training sessions was well-received. ii) Todd Moore will be scheduling 4 Saturday morning training sessions for specific skill work: (1) Sessions will consist of: 1. Passing and receiving; 2. Fast footwork; 3. Ball control; and, 4. Goalie training. (2) Sessions will be open to all ages and will be one hour in duration. (3) Players from the boys and girls FTHS teams will be recruited to assist. (4) Badged coaches can offer additional supervision during the sessions. iii) Dates, times and location TBD. 7) Field Coordinator Report (Bill Anthony) a. Field Day i) Field Day is scheduled for Friday, March 13th and Sunday, March 15th (if needed). ii) Vets field will open on Monday, March 16th for practice (1) Portions of the field may be closed as field conditions may vary (2) Teams may be asked to work on the sides of the field iii) The football practice is no longer available to FTSA for practice due to a conflict with field maintenance activities on the field. iv) M1 and M4 will be lined for 11 v 11 and M2 and M3 will be lined for 8v8. 8) Fundraising Report (Heather Cochran) a.
