To jump start Administrative Professional’s Week, the chapter hosted its April’s chapter meeting on April 11. The program was presented by Jim Connah with Myers-Beazelle, Inc. Jim provided the group with the latest office products that are being used throughout many organizations. Samples of products by 3-M, Bic, Mead and At-A-Glance were shown to the attendees, as well as door prizes were won by a few lucky winners. The Gadsden Chapter would like to thank all who attended the meeting and to Jim Connah for always introducing and providing us with great samples we can use to carry out our duties more efficiently. We look forward to everyone joining us at our next chapter meeting, May 9.

10 best states to retire A financial planning website called BankRate.com has released a Here are the 10 best states to retire, according to BankRate. ranking that puts Tennessee at the top of their list of best states for retirees. #1 Tennessee #2 Louisiana BankRate's analysis aimed to look at all the economic questions #3 South Dakota that the site's readers would be most interested in, from the #4 Kentucky cost of living to taxes, says Chris Kahn, the site's statistics and #5 Mississippi research analyst. But it also evaluated crime rates and health #6 Virginia care access. The results are surprising -- far from the Sunbelt #7 West Virginia states that lure millions of retirees a year. #8 Alabama #9 Nebraska The thing to remember, he adds, is that there are a lot of non#10 North Dakota economic factors -- like where your friends and family live -By Kathy Kristof / MoneyWatch that will also have a big impact on where you'll be happiest in retirement. "Go where your heart desires, but prepare," he says. "A lot of the popular places to retire like California, Florida and New York are going to require a lot more financial preparation than the places on this list."
