NCAA DII Tournament Game – Round One Friday, March 9……………………………………….……2:30 p.m. Barco-Steven Hall, Virginia Union…………. Richmond, Va. The Matchup The Lady Pioneers (30-1) won the MEC Regular Season and Tournament Championships as they grabbed the #2 seed in the Atlantic Region and will travel to Richmond, Virginia and take on the Golden Rams of West Chester (23-5), the #7 seed on the campus of Virginia Union on Friday (times TBA). Glenville State is making its 11th appearance in the NCAA Championship and is also making back-to-back appearance in the tournament. The Lady Pioneers hold a 12-8 record all-time in the tournament, with two Elite Eight appearances. Glenville State also brings its 29-game winning streak into the matchup. West Chester comes into the matchup with a 23-5 overall record and finished in 1st in the PSAC East. The Golden Rams fell to Shippensburg in the PSAC Tournament Quarterfinals, 87-79. However West Chester handed GSC its only loss of the season back on November 12, 97-84.

GSC won the MEC Regular Season Championship (2nd straight year) and the MEC Tournament Championship this season.
