NAEYC, what’s that? The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is the world’s largest organization focused on early childhood education. NAEYC accreditation is based on ten standards that have been developed, researched, and agreed upon by experts in the field, and is renowned as the mark of quality for education programs. The Early Learning Center has been assessed and approved as a quality program, successfully meeting each of the ten standards for many years now. This month, we will receive a reaccreditation visit from a national NAEYC assessor. We look forward to the opportunity to continue providing a quality education to the families of our community! For more information on NAEYC, you may visit www.naeyc.org

Parking Lot Announcements and Reminders On Friday, May 22nd the parking lot will be closed from 7 am – 12 pm. Please park on the surrounding side streets and walk your child into their classroom. Director’s Corner Dear Parents, The months have quickly gone by, and it has been amazing watching each of the children grow into mature individuals. Please make every effort to attend your child’s parent teacher conference this month and see how much they have learned. It’s also a good time to share, compare, and get tips on how to nurture your child’s growth. There will be great child-parent opportunities that you will not want to miss during the month of May. All classes will be hosting Mother’s Day Teas, the Kekos/Pueos will exercise their independence as they experience the annual Penny Carnival and the Honu/Naia classes will roam the zoo, admiring God’s world of animals. Come be a part of the excitement!
