Use place value understanding to round decimals to any place. 5.NBT.7. Social Studies: We are working through our Geography Unit and will be focusing on the Natural Wonders of the World; discussing Human-Made vs. Natural Geographic Features; exploring the regions of Canada and exploring life as early people in the Western Hemisphere. Current Events homework will be coming home this month help your child find newspaper or magazine articles and read and write about what they have learned. Keeping them informed about their world helps them with deeper discussions in the classroom! Science: We are currently working on learning the scientific method through experiments with Pendulums. The best way to help your child is to work on their writing and math skills, because in science both ELA and MATH are equally important. Check E-chalk for the weekly Homework Assignment, and help them to do their best. The homework is designed to help them work through the different parts of the Scientific Method. For example, we have done homework on: making a hypothesis, writing a procedure, making a data table. Go over their homework... make sure you correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and capitalization and penmanship. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
