JYSA Board Meeting Minutes Sunday, September 11, 2016 6:00 PM Attendees: Julianna Lockard, Brian Baker, Troy Wolfe, Adam Farguson, Jared Page, Ken Calvert, Amy Fogarty, Matt Fogarty I.
Call to order at 6:06 PM

Public Speakers – Anyone signed up to speak will be afforded 3 minutes

Approval of minutes from August JYSA Board Meeting. Approved unanimously
IV.
Board Reports a. President Report – Brian Baker yielded time b. Vice President Report – Adam Farguson reported on field maintenance and uniform issues. 1. Amy discussed moving the parent/coach/player meeting up in future seasons to give more time for uniforms to be ordered. c. Secretary Report-Julianna Lockard yielded time d. Treasurer Report – Randi Frucci not present e. Softball Report – Tony Frucci not present f.
Baseball Report – Matt Fogarty reported that opening day games are being rescheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays
g. Asst. Baseball Commissioner Report – Bob Bomar not present h. Equipment Report-Troy Wolfe i.
Uniform report: discussed quality issues with uniforms and overall customer service with uniform vendor
ii. Practice equipment options: 1.
STORAGE UNITS Storage unit at each field / each batting cage; 2 dozen practice balls; 2 sets of catchers gear per field; Tee in each unit; Dimple practice pitching machine balls; Accountability structure; Pitching machine softballs

STORAGE UNITS AND INDIVIDUAL TEAM GEAR Storage unit at each field / batting cage; 2 dozen balls; Younger teams
get checked out catchers gear with numbered canvas bag; Deposit check would be substantially more to more the cover the cost of replacement. $225 3.

New Business a. Discuss, consider, and act on adding job duties to the Director of Officials job description as found in the bylaws. President appoints Jared, Matt, and Tony to the rules and regulations committee. b. JYSA Basketball options i.
Ken will send over age groups for signups

Coach look on November 5th
iii.
Start practices the week of the 14th; two one-hour practices a week until January
7th when games start; then it will drop down to one practice a week iv.
Referees/games at UNT/end of season tournament/trophies etc included; $400
per team for this v.
Ken Calvert made a motion for a $125 registration fee with a $50 raffle
requirement (Option 3 as outlined by Adam Farguson---$20 uniform/parents provide shorts/2 practices a week before games and one practice a week during games). Second by Troy Wolfe. c. Communication discussed earlier. d. Uniform vendor discussion had earlier. e. Banners will be hung for the fall season by Adam.
