Auburn or Alabama? Roll Tide or War Eagle? When I first moved to Alabama, I quickly found that it was impossible to sit on the Alabama/Auburn fence. I was told that I must choose a side (read our blog if you want to find out how I selected my team). Why not declare your allegiance with a sports themed quilt? Barbara Brackman’s new book SEW INTO SPORTS has a quilt for every sport. You can even make a signature quilt for your favorite team. Wouldn’t it be exciting to have a quilt signed by Gene Chizik or Nick Sabin? You might have a chance with a really cool quilt.
Nine-Patch Quilt-A-Long It’s day 10 of the quilta-long! Do you have ten blocks made? I must admit I’ve made more than 10 so far.
Here’s another nine-patch layout. Just sash your blocks to give them more definition.
Just as a reminder—Your blocks can be ANY SIZE. The samples in the shop just happen to be 6x6 finished blocks because I have lots of 2.5 inch squares.
Or if you like, you can set your blocks on point. It really changes the look of the quilt. The blocks in this picture are identical.
