Mentoring Program Crina-Maria Butnaru Cost Analyst, OMV Petrom Chemical Engineering
Graduated at the top of my group as a chemical engineer at the Politehnica University of Bucharest in 2009 and conducted post-graduate studies in Inginerie Biochimica si Biotehnologii Sustenabile, at the same institution. In January 2011, I joined OMV Petrom as a Junior Drilling Engineer and progressed to a Drilling Fluids Engineer. In 2016, I made a lateral move to the Cost Engineering Department and took a position as a Cost Analyst for the Drilling and Workover Department. Throughout the years, I have attended various drilling related technical courses to keep myself up to date with current technologies, as well as, soft-skill trainings to assist my professional development. Besides my daily tasks at OMV Petrom, I had the chance to be an informal mentor, provide support to junior employees and conduct training in Problem Solving, Story Lining, Waste Identification and Introduction to Economics. During out of office hours, I provide private tuition in Chemistry for university students. I consider myself hardworking and self-motivated with the willingness to learn. I have been blessed with talented mentors that have provided me with technical guidance and, no greater personal mentor than my mother, who instilled in me the diligence and a professional work ethic, encouraging me to pay attention to detail.
