CSAC WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

RASHID MARROW Gwynedd Mercy - So. - Delhaven, N.J. Marrow started with a win in the 400m with a time of 50.61s. This is his 2nd fastest time of the year. He then followed that up with a big PR in the 200m running 22.43s, finishing 2nd overall. He is now ranked #2 in the CSAC.

CSAC HONOR ROLL Ty Fenstermacher—Keystone—Fr. Fenstermacher helped post a record in the 4x4 relay at Penn Relays with a time of 3:22.74, then won the 400 hurdles at Bloomsburg (54.31).

Kenny Brakoh—Marywood—Fr.

Brakoh was the third-fastest Division III runner in a 90-man 200 dash field at TCNJ. He broke the school record in 22.83 seconds to take 16th against a fast field that included the 2012 Olympic Bronze medalist from Tobago.

CSAC MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

CHANTE MOORE Gwynedd Mercy - So. - Philadelphia, Pa.

Chante Moore had an amazing day winning two events and setting two school records. She finished first in prelims of the 100 meters with a new season-best of 12.06s. She then bettered that mark in the finals, winning the event in new school record of 11.84s. This is currently the #5 in the country, #1 in the ECAC and #1 in the CSAC. She then stepped back on the track and picked up a win in the 200m with a new personal best and school record with a time of 24.03s. This ranks her #3 in the country and #1 in both ECAC and CSAC.

CSAC HONOR ROLL Rachel Pell—PS-Behrend—Jr.

Pell broke her own school record in the 400m hurdles with a 1:04.11 mark. She currently ranks 46th in NCAA D3. She also ran the 100m hurdles for a 16.54 mark, she leads the CSAC in both events.

Amelia Waibel—Marywood—Sr.

Waibel broke a school record in the 100 dash in 13.37 seconds at TCNJ. Her 400 relay took fifth place in a time of 51.63 seconds

CSAC WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MITCHELL OBENRADER

PS-Behrend—Sr.—Fryburg, Pa. Obenrader posted the 2nd furthest throw in NCAA D3 this weekend with a 17.38m (57' 0.25") toss good enough for 4th place among some top competition that included 2016 World Leader Kurt Roberts. Mitch was the only D3 competitor in the Invite Shot Put. He then threw the discus 48.11m (57' 10") for the #20 throw in D3. He placed 3rd in the open Discus Throw competition.

CSAC HONOR ROLL Nick Marollo - Marywood - Sr. Marollo had the third-best Division III performance in the shot put at TCNJ. Facing Princeton and Rider throwers, he placed 11th out of 53 with a heave of 138 feet, 8 inches. His performances placed him second in both the shot put and discus in the CSAC.

CHYANNE FINE Gwynedd Mercy– So. - Hanover Twp., Pa. Fine set three different PR's in field events. She started with hammer, throwing 30.97m (101'7") to finish seventh overall. She then followed it up in shot put, throwing a new PR 11.58m (38') as she finished 2nd in the event and remains 1st in the CSAC. She ended her day with another PR in discus as she won the event with a throw of 36.78m (120'8"), keeping her #1 in the CSAC.

CSAC HONOR ROLL Haley Yenchik - PS-Behrend - So. Haley Yenchik set a new personal best pole vault mark of 3.51m (11' 6.25") which ranks her 48th in NCAA D3

AROUND THE CSAC FRANCISCAN BARONS Franciscan was idle this week.

GWYNEDD MERCY GRIFFINS The Griffin Track & Field Teams took part in the Blue Jay Tune-Up hosted by Elizabethtown College. Rashid Marrow started with a win in the 400m with a time of 50.61. This is his second fastest time of the year. He then followed that up with a big PR in the 200m running 22.43s, finishing 2nd overall. He is now ranked #2 in the CSAC behind teammate Nick Shaffer. The biggest PR of the day belongs to Martin Frempong with his 3rd place throw in javelin of 48.79m (160'1") this is a PR of 21 feet. This moves him up to #5 in the CSAC. Damon Dunn had 2 PR's first in Hammer. Damon threw 29.71m (97'6"). He is inching his way closer to the program record of 30.10m. He then threw his 2nd PR in discus with a throw of 26.2m (85'11"). Cullen Murphy jumped a new PR in the pole vault with a 2nd place jump of 3.5m (11'5.75"). Chante Moore had an amazing day winning two events and setting two school records. She then followed it up in shot put, throwing a new PR 11.58m (38') and just missing an ECAC qualifying mark by 1cm (11.59m), she finished 2nd in the event and remains 1st in the CSAC. She ended her day with another PR in discus and that elusive ECAC mark, as she won the event with a throw of 36.78m (120'8"), keeping her #1 in the CSAC.

KEYSTONE GIANTS

The Mighty Macs finished ninth at the Blue Jay Tune Up at Elizabethtown on Saturday in their final meet before conference championships. Gabe Dwyer placed fifth in the 400 meter hurdles and third in the shot put to collect the top finishes on the day. Liam Drumgoole placed seventh in the 800 in another top finish for the Macs. They will now prepare for CSAC Championships this Saturday and Sunday at Keystone. The women’s team placed sixth at the Blue Jay Tune Up on Saturday in their final meet before the CSAC Championships. Julie Zeller (100 m hurdles), Jacki D'Amico (400 m), and Tara Liska (pole vault) all set school records in their events. D'Amico was second in the 400, Liska was third in the pole vault and second in the high jump, and Zeller was fourth in the 100 m hurdles. The Macs will now prepare for the CSAC Championships this coming Saturday and Sunday at Keystone.

The Keystone men’s team posted a school record time in the 4x400 meter relay on Friday at the Penn Relays as Kareem Mickens, Omar Arrieta, Ty Fenstermacher, and Carl Joseph clocked in at 3:22.74. The Giants went on to post 23 top-10 finishes on Saturday at Bloomsburg's Maroon & Gold Invitational on Saturday with Fenstermacher winning the 400 meter hurdles and Corey Allegrucci winning the high jump. Keystone will host the CSAC Championships on Saturday and Sunday in La Plume. The women’s team recorded eight top-10 finishes on Saturday at Bloomsburg's Maroon & Gold Invitational. Nicole Delevan broke her own school record in the 400 meter dash while Jayde Newman finished second in the javelin. The Giants 4x100 meter relay team brought home a third place finish on the day. Keystone will host the CSAC Championships on Saturday and Sunday in La Plume.

AROUND THE CSAC MARYWOOD PACERS

NEUMANN KNIGHTS

Marywood set five school records at its final tune-up before CSACs at TCNJ. Amelia Waibel put her name into the record book in the 100 dash, crossing the finish in 13.37 seconds. Waibel beat the previous mark by 21-hundredths of a second for 30th place out of 69 runners. She was also part of a 400 relay team that placed fifth in 51.83 seconds. Lindsey Gladden measured at 33 feet, 6 inches (10.21m) to take 20th place. Facing a 200 dash crowded field that featured Tobagonian 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Lalonde Gordon, Kenny Brakoh finished 16th out of 90 runners. Brakoh's time of 22.83 seconds was the third-quickest Division III sprinter. Nick Marollo obliterated his previous school record by placing 11th out of 54 throwers with a distance of 100 feet, 1 inch.

Neumann competed at the Penn Relays and the TCNJ Invite this week. At the Penn Relays, The 4x400 meter relay team of Nafees Norris, Stephen Battle, Pares Nichols and Francis Terry set a school record, running a time of 3.26.90. In the 4x100 meter relay, Kasib Darden, Devon Thompson, Nichols and Terry finished with a time of 44.09. At TCNJ, Norris led the way with a 39th place finish in the 400 meter run and a 25th place finish in the 400 meter hurdles. For the women, At the Penn Relays, the 4x100 meter relay team of Amirah Guerrero, Faith Fayith, Diamond Talley and Nafisa Saunders finished with a time of 50.85. In the 4x400 meter relay. The team of Fayiah, Saunders, Guerrero and Siobhan Cunningham finished with a time of 4:28.53 to place eighth in their heat. At TCNJ, 4x100 meter relay team was the team's best finisher on the day. The relay won its heat and finished in fourth place with a time of 50.88 seconds.

PENN STATE BEHREND LIONS The Penn State Behrend track and field teams competed at the Ashland Alumni Open Saturday afternoon..Mitchell Obenrader competed in a stacked shot put field, finishing fourth with a season-best throw of 17.38 meters (57'0"). He then placed third in the discus after a throw of 48.11 meters (157'10"). Colby Tarr and Ethan Rhodes both competed in the javelin, placing sixth and seventh, respectively. Tarr threw a distance of 45.69 meters (149'10.75") and Rhodes tossed 43.62 meters (143'1.25"). Kurt Eberhardt, Marcus Haesler, Oluwasuen Babalola, and Grant Rodgers teamed up for a time of 44.55 seconds in the 400 relay to come in seventh. Rodgers also competed in the long jump and came in seventh after jumping 5.53 meters (18'1.75"). Senior Paige Allen took fourth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12:68, just .23 seconds behind the winner. Katelyn Hancock placed fourth in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:20.25. In the 400 meter hurdles, Rachel Pell came in third after finishing in 1:04.11, which set a new school record. Riley Crissman had a top-10 finish in the 5000 meter run. She placed eighth with a time of 18:46.58. On the field side, Haley Yenchik set a new personal best in the pole vault after jumping to a height of 3.51 meters (11'6").
