Village Coordinators Job Description: Each Village Coordinator (male and female) will lead, inspire, and uphold the camp’s mission to the staff, campers, and parents. They will provide guidance for all counselors and ensure that each village runs smoothly and safely by mediating issues and ensuring that the campers and counselors follow camp rules. The Village Coordinator will provide all participants with a safe environment that fosters spiritual, mental, and physical growth. Their decisions and behaviors will model Paradise Point’s policies and core values. Minimum Qualifications:
Desire and ability to work with children outdoors Encourage physical, emotional and spiritual growth, and positive character development Willingness and ability to work 6 days a week Must have previous counselor/camp experience Ability to lead large groups Good character, integrity, maturity, and adaptability Willingness and ability to live within a close, camp community Enthusiasm, patience, and self-control for working with youth Model Camp Dress Code Policy (appearance should be appropriate) At least 18 years of age
Specific Responsibilities: Monitor staff and camper progress weekly and provides counsel when needed Administer staff evaluations throughout the summer and provide feedback as needed Provide leadership, guidance, evaluation, and support for all counselors Provide relief for counselors as necessary Conduct village meetings as needed Inform Camp Director of any camper or staff problems, concerns, or issues Know and implement emergency procedures as needed and participate in mandatory safety drills Other duties as assigned Responsible To: Camp Director Salary Information: $250 per week (meals & lodging included)
