PARADISE POINT SUMMER CAMP The Episcopal Diocese of Idaho McCall, ID Ropes Course Coordinator Job Description: The Ropes Course Coordinator supervises and is responsible for all activities and aspects involved with the High and Low Ropes Course, climbing wall, and outdoor rock climbing. The position consists of daily facilitation of staff and campers during high ropes initiatives (pamper pole, zip-line, cat walk, giant swing, etc.) and low ropes initiatives (icebreakers, team building, Mohawk walk, slack line, etc.), as well as the climbing wall and rock wall. Full training is provided specific to our facilities. Minimum Qualifications:         

Desire and ability to work with children outdoors Comfortable with heights (previous climbing/belay experience not required, but is helpful. Training will be provided once hired) Willing and able to work 6 days a week Encourage physical, emotional, and spiritual growth and positive character development Able to lead small and large groups in team building activities Good character, integrity, maturity, and adaptability; be a positive role model Willing and able to live within a close, camp community Model Camp Dress Code Policy (appearance should be appropriate) At least 18 years of age

Specific Responsibilities:         

Responsible for supervision of Ropes Course Staff on Low and High Ropes Course Elements Implement programming for low and high elements, including climbing wall Set-up of all ropes course elements including gear retrieval and rescues (once hired, camp will provide Level I Ropes Course facilitator training) Accountable for maintenance, security, and inventory of all elements, ropes course, and climbing equipment and any other Low or High Ropes Course supplies Follow High standards for participant safety and enjoyment Must keep accurate records in the daily logs for all activities, equipment, and elements Know and implement emergency procedures as needed and participate in mandatory drills Inform Assistant Camp Director of any camper or staff problems, concerns, or issues Other duties as assigned
