PARADISE POINT SUMMER CAMP The Episcopal Diocese of Idaho McCall, ID Spiritual Coordinator Job Description: The Spiritual Director is an integral part of Paradise Point Summer Camp. This person will report to the Camp Director and serve as a leader among the staff members introducing liturgy and thematic material through morning and evening chapels, as well as morning activity periods. The role of the Spiritual Coordinator is to serve as the centerpiece for the faith formation program during Youth Camps. Minimum Qualifications:
Desire and ability to work with children outdoors Willing and able to work 6 days a week Encourage physical, emotional, and spiritual growth and positive character development Comfortable and able to lead large groups Good character, integrity, maturity, and adaptability Willing and able to live within a close, camp community High-energy, patience, self-control, and enthusiasm for working with youth Model Camp Dress Code Policy (appearance should be appropriate) At least 21 years of age
Specific Responsibilities:
Provide pastoral care and support to the campers Assist in the development of the spiritual theme and curriculum with the Directors Provide morning and evening prayer, educate participants about the Episcopal faith, and actively involve campers in bible studies Consult with staff about the progress of the spiritual program component during the week Know and implement emergency procedures as needed and participate in mandatory drills Inform Camp Director of any camper or staff problems, concerns or issues Other duties as assigned
Responsible To: Camp Director Salary Information: $275 per week (meals & lodging included)
