Rouse Raider Swim Team Booster Club General Meeting Minutes Dec. 1, 2014 Call to Order General Board meeting called to order by Tina Saul at 7:03pm on Dec. 1, 2014 at the classroom of Coach Ramsey.
Attendance Executive members in attendance: Tina Saul, Ken Demoski and Lenna Crosby Other members in attendance: Vicki Schaefer, JT Cox, Sabra Fullwood, Karen Erlanson, Tom Erlanson, Jeri Grady, Dianne Szabo, Gemma Prado. Guests: Coach Ramsey
Approval of minutes from last meeting Minutes were not available.
Old Business A) Fundraiser Committee a. Flyers: i. Flyers were printed up by Peter Grady. 1. Due to Thanksgiving Break, getting the flyers distributed was difficult. 2. Gemma Prado will take the flyers to Pleasant Hill Elementary school. b. Silent Auction: i. Items are still coming in. 1. The Fundraising Committee will meet to put baskets together on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014. ii. The committee has already signed up for shifts during the silent auction. B) Merchandise/T-shirt Committee a. Tom Erlanson had a swim team logo created. i. The logo is a rough draft of a “Raider” riding a wave. ii. The committee is looking into being able to use the RR logo as well. 1. The committee has to get approval from the LISD to be able to use the school RR vector logo. 2. The committee has to get approval from the LISD to be able to use the new swim team logo. iii. If everything is approved, then we will be able to order shirts in time for districts. Tax ID will be needed at time of order purchase. C) Meals for Meets Committee a. Lunch needs to be provided for the UT District meet on Jan. 24, 2015 & Jan. 25, 2015.
i. The committee will look into Jimmy Johns as an option. D) Banquet/Social Events Committee a. Christmas Party: i. The Erlanson’s will host the Swim Team Christmas Party. Friday Dec. 9, 2014 from 6:30-9:00pm. b. District Pasta Dinner: i. The Grady’s will host the District Pasta Dinner. Wednesday Jan. 21, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm. ii. Look for food item sign ups on Sign-Up Genius in January.
New Business A) Concession Stand a. We received $400 for running the concession stand at the Rouse football game on Oct. 17, 2014. b. The money will be used to pay for our booster club dues, which is $400. B) Publications Committee a. Sam Stauber has been taking pictures during meets and events, but he is not always able to be there. i. Dianne Szabo has also been taking pictures during meets, but others are encouraged to take pictures. b. Sam Stauber has set up an account on Google+ that allows parents to upload any photos they take. i. This gives everyone one main source to share their pictures. ii. If you have trouble uploading pictures, you can send them to Sam and he can help you out. C) Approved by Booster Members a. Two cases of water were approved by the booster members. i. These cases of water will be used for our remaining meets.
Next Meeting General Board Meeting will be held on Monday Jan. 12, 2014 at 7:00pm in Coach Ramsey’s classroom.
