Sacred Heart Reception Newsletter Issue 2– Friday 16th September
Thank you so much for the kind donations of items for our outdoor area. The children have loved the changes we have made and are having great fun playing outdoors.
The Early Years team are so pleased with how the children have managed to come into the yard this week ready to start school. From Wednesday next week the boys and girls may not see all of us at the gate but we will be on the yard at 9.50am to collect the children from their line as normal.
Please can you make sure the children have their names on all items of their uniform including PE kit and outdoor shoes. There are still a few items without names on. Key Dates Our Phonics workshop will take place on 26th September at 3.30pm. Early Years Open day will take place on 26th September from 9.15-11.30am , allowing you the opportunity to look around our fantastic new classrooms! Our first Wow Wednesday will also be coming up this half term– watch out for the date! This is an opportunity for you to spend some time looking at some of the wonderful things your children have been doing in their learning journals so far. We ask you to leave a comment to tell your child just how proud you are and this is stuck into their learning journal as a memory.
So...what has happened in Reception Class this week?
The classes are really starting to work together as a team! We have seen so many examples of sharing, kindness and collaboration throughout the week. It’s great to see what a fantastic class Reception are and how hard they are trying to follow the school expectations and routine! Well Done!
This week the children have had their school dinners in the Hall. They have been fantastic at trying new foods and also remembering their manners. The children have been helped by Miss Wise, Miss Barrass, Miss Scott and Mrs Robinson-Crow during their lunch.
The children have made lovely relationships with their Year 6 buddies and have spent lots of time together this week.
