Sewing Center News Hello Everyone! Spring is Here! Or is it? It looks like things are still a little uncertain with our weather patterns. Life seems to be that way to. Challenges come, problems arise, and we face situations that leave us wondering if things will ever be normal again.

we are promised a refuge and a hiding place in Christ Jesus. When we find that refuge we can then see a rainbow behind the clouds. I was responsible for devotions at school Monday morning and was impressed to talk to the children about the words we speak and how that once spoken they cannot be taken back. Sometimes it is easy to speak a harsh or unkind word with no thought given to the pain it causes and the bitter taste it leaves. Let’s be careful. The Bible tells us that “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. Proverbs 25:11”. This has always been an impressive verse to me. But I must say that far to often it’s to elusive. * The Prairie Stars Quilt Shop Hop starts Thursday the 6th and runs through Saturday the 16th. Grab a friend or two or three and visit the eight participating shops. For more information visit www.prairiestarsquiltshophop.com. * Watch the informative webinars hosted by BERNINA. You can register for either the 10:00 am or 6:00 pm spots or you can come to Sunflower Creations. We are hosting a 1:00 pm viewing. Reverse Pattern Foot #1

This foot has a smooth, flat sole similar to that of Foot #0. The difference is a slight indentation in the front of the needle in addition to the one behind. This allows the stitching of thread patterns that move forward & backward. Foot #1 works with straight stitching as well as open decorative stitches that have reverse motion. As with Foot #0, the indentations on the bottom of the foot are not large enough to accommodate the thread build-up of a satin stitch. The center of the foot is marked with an engraved line. Unlike Foot #0, the slot on Foot #1 is through the side of the foot, allowing the needle thread to pass under the foot & to the back without tangling when sewing in reverse.
