Fundraising Updates 

Chipotle – Karen said that she does not have the results of the last event and will ask Stefanie if we have gotten the check from the first event.

Carbone’s Pizza – They have a similar event as Chipotle. 30% of the proceeds comes back to the team for anyone that mentions that they are there to support the team. Dave will follow up on this and check with Old World to see if they would do something similar.

Applebees – Karen will check with Stefanie to see if we have received the $450 yet.

Lions Club – Things don’t sound promising with the Lions Club. The two possibilities would be moonlight bowling and the pancake breakfast. The girls could possibly bus tables at the pancake breakfast. The money they make from their events is already going to an organization??? Dave is this information correct and if not can you email me any corrections. SSP Moose Lodge – Dave knows someone that is part of the moose lodge and is going to ask them if there is any possibility of them donating any money.

Spaghetti Dinner Planning – Saturday, January 25th  Andy has a list of items to purchase for the dinner but needs quantities of items that he is going to purchase. He also said he would cook the pasta the night before if needed.  Dave is going to check with the VFW to see if we can just cook the pasta there on the day of the spaghetti dinner.  Bakers Square will be bringing pies, bars, and cookies to sell at the event for $3 each and we will receive 30% of that and this is going to be our desert at the event. We will not be providing free desert as we have in past years. We will go back to selling baked items if this does not turn out to be very profitable.  The silent Auction will be done a little differently. We are going to have maybe 3 big baskets and then break the rest down into smaller items. Karen will send an email out to the parents to let them know about the change of the way we are doing the silent auction. Also want to add more services that require time and little money to offer that people would be willing to pay a 1

fair amount for. Other items that people were wondering if we could auction off were player jerseys (if we are getting new ones next year) and the team banner and just make sure people that bid on the items know that they couldn’t have current year banner for instance until the season was over and we didn’t need it anymore. Most of the volunteer shifts have been filled and many of the board members will be available all day to help out as needed. One family has not volunteer for a shift but has been assigned one and Amy will reach out to them.

Senior Night Planning – January 24th  If we are planning on purchasing new jerseys next year, can the senior have their jersey? Confirming this with Tom.  Julie will be taking care of the food and we are having walking tacos and deserts. Karen is putting together the program and will check to see if Stefanie can print them.  Dave will talk to Mr. Illetschko to see if he will do the announcing. Karen will provide script.  Deanna will call the rink to see if we can get into the room at 8 – 8:30 and be in there until around 10:30.  Deanna already set up the red carpet to be out before the varsity game.  Photos will be taken by Liana and if she can’t do it then Karen said she could do it.  Decorations will include balloons and player poster boards (all players to sign between games) Banquet Planning  There was some damage at the Southview Country Club and there is some question about if we will be able to have the banquet there this year or not. We talked about the possibility of having the banquet at the school this year with a catered dinner in the cafeteria and the program in the auditorium. Tom will confirm this.  Possible dates for the banquet are Sunday, February 23 rd as our first choice or Sunday, March 2nd as our second choice. Parents thought March 9th was too late last year.  Andy said he would check with Tom to find out what he would like to do for the venue and also which date he would like. $250 Donation to IGHHA for “Try Hockey” – We did not discuss this and will be added to the next adgenda. Miscellaneous – The possible dates/times for section games are as follows (These are not a guarantee but more of a speculation based on our current standings)  March 8th either 4:30 or 6:30  March 11th (If we were to win on March 8th)  March 13th (If we won on March 11th) Next Meeting – Need to confirm the date and time for out next meeting.
