Intramural Sports Team Tennis Rules 2017-2018 Team Tennis will be played on Monday nights from 7:30-9pm, and 9 – 10:30pm. Time will be very tight so get there early. Each team is responsible for bringing a set of balls and their own racquets. Team Tennis Rules: 1. USTA rules apply 2. One Singles match and one doubles match will be played. If necessary another singles match will be played. The second singles match must be played by someone else other than the 1st singles match. 3. Each match will consist of 1 set to 6. 4. A minimum of 2 players from each team must be present for each session. Each team may have one club tennis player. 5. You may not sub for players during a match unless an injury occurs. Co-Rec1. One male and one female must be present at each session. 2. Each team may have only 1 male and/or female club tennis player (can have 1 women’s club and 1 men’s club player). 3. The doubles match will be mixed doubles. Pro set: Instead of playing multiple sets, players play one "pro set". A pro set is first to 6 games, you do not need to win by a margin of two games. Matches are played with no-ad scoring.
