Tiny Mite Football The Jr. Bulldog Tiny Mite team got off to another great start in yet another round robin contest versus the New Hampshire Wildcats in Sandown. Jack "Flash" Redfern started the Bulldogs out right on offense with a beautiful sweep for about 60 yards down the left sideline where he was caught from behind just before the score. Teddy "Bucky" LaPointe took two more tries and fell just short (everyone thought he was in, before a foul brought the bulldogs back to the 15. After the next play the Bulldogs turned it over on downs. Strong tackling from Frankie "Snaps" O'Donnell and Jayden "Dozer" Wilson clogged up the middle all day for the Jr. Bulldogs but the Wildcats were forced to score on the outside. The Jr. Bulldogs took the ball back after the score and drove about 30 yards until Gavin "GMack" McConnell busted a trademark run down the right sideline for ascore. The Wildcats answered back right before time expired. The second contest of the Round Robin was against Seacoast and things looked even more exciting. Isabella "Izzy" Landies took a handoff off left end to the house on a 70 yard jaunt down the sideline in full afterburner for her first career TD, right behind devastating blocking from Evan "Ironman" LaForge and Graham "Chimi" Chmiliecki. The ensuing defensive series

saw some great tackles by Rocco "Rock" Aronson and a sack by Adam "A-Train" Tamburello. The Titans were able to score, but the Bulldogs came right back with an immediate "G-Mack" TD off right end. The Titans got the ball back with 3 minutes left and began to drive the field. But the D-line anchored by Caleb "Smash" Cleland and Beckett "Cool Breeze" Maslanka sufficiently stymied the Titans in some desperation attempts. After a Gabe "Taz" Landies sack, and Cullen "Primetime" O'Connell tackle, the Titans had one last chance. Jake "JB" Boughter (pronounced with an "-uffter"), fresh off a contract holdout in Disney World, returned in a big way to make a lightning quick game saving tackle on the 5 as time ran out, icing the Bulldogs Win!

Mitey Mite Football Black Mitey Mite Black defanged the Concord Vipers with a convincing 19-6 win, improving their record to 2-0. As the autumn winds swirled in the state capital, the Bulldogs played a ball control offense that battered their amphibious foe all morning. Behind the wedge blocking of Drew Redfern, Matty Ciruso, Beau Dunker, and Patrik Burke, running back Andre Steinbrueck was able to advance the ball on Bedford's first drive. Hudson Schmitt opened the scoring with a beautiful 25 yard scamper to the cone and pay dirt. Bruising

fullback Justin Chiras pounded in the extra point. Bedford's Schmitt then stripped a Viper back as James Gilbert picked up the loose ball. Chiras did his best LeGarrette Blount impersonation, attacking the Vipers soft under-belly with a series of smash mouth runs up the middle, culminating in another score to increase the lead to 13-0. After a turnover on downs, Evan Dunker pick-pocketed Concord's QB and raced 60 yards for another touchdown as the Bedford lead swelled to 19-0. Alex Cotnoir added a big catch and emerging star Josh Meisner, played flawless center as the Bulldogs last drive ended at the Vipers 1 yard line as time expired. Mitey Mite Black plays their home opener next Sunday against Manchester. Woof Woof!

Mitey Mite Football Red Some days the ball doesn’t bounce your way. That was the case for the Bedford Mitey Mite Red team when they took on the New Hampshire Wildcats. A couple of early fumbles, put the Red team in an early hole that they were not able to climb out from falling 25-6. The ball did not bounce the Bulldogs way on this Sunday, with a defense that put pressure on the Wildcats, forcing numerous fumbles with their pressure, but they were unable to capitalize with a recovery as the ball fell just outside the Bulldogs grip. The bulldog offense did not have the same luck, as they lost two fumbles that set up very short TD runs.

The offense was mounting a promising drive at the end of the second quarter, getting close to paydirt, but time ran out and they were stymied. In the second half, a fired up Bulldogs team put together another promising drive, only to stall. Brady Jackson pinned the Wildcats with a sensational punt inside the 20 yard line. A stout defense forced a turnover on downs, and the offense was finally able to break thru, after an Ethan Steichen punishing run, Jackson was able to finish the drive with a touchdown behind a hole created by Nate Duquette, Noah Humphrey and Zachary Elmer. The Extra point attempt was not successful, despite a great attempt by Dean Poltronieri. Aaron Chmielecki, Caleb Goldstein, Sam Doty and Carter Rick all added to the vaunted Bulldogs running attack with nifty runs. Led by captains, William Neikham, Evan Maslanka, Tyler Parshay and Nolan Murphy they punished the inside running game of the Wildcats and limited the opportunities to the wide side of the field. James Gregory and Jacob Parshay were particularly effective in stopping the Wildcat running game. The Mitey Mite Red team has a bye week, but will take on Concord in two weeks.

The Bulldogs will be home this Sunday 10/2 facing a tough Manchester Team.

Jr. Pee Wee Football Red Two undefeated teams met on the NH Wildcats field for an early season showdown. Bedford JPW Red won the toss and deferred. The Bedford defensive line anchored by Ethan Kemp, Cal McAuliffe, Mason Kimball, Alex Grudinskas and Brady Champagne were dominant. Linebackers, Aiden O’Connell, Evan Cibotti and Eric Morgan combined with a secondary comprised of Ledger Russell, Jalen Kamineni and Joel Poltronieri to give Bedford the ball after four plays. Bedford center Alex Moore continued his strong season anchoring the Bedford offense. On the first set of downs Evan Cibotti connected with Aiden O’Connell for the first Bedford touchdown. Cibotti threw seven for seven with two touchdowns, the second going to Joel Poltronieri who had a clutch grab for a TD. O’Connell ran for two more scores amassing huge yards on the day. Brady Martino had his first reception and it was a tough one in traffic carrying defenders for yards after the haul. Brock Tamburello saw some action as a slot receiver. JD Cote and Jayden Kimball had some key blocks on the offensive line. Kaeden Elmer, Ronan Balistreri and Tyrece Sealey all contributed defensively to hold the Wildcats to one score. Bedford 27NHWC 6. Pee Wee Football The Bedford Jr. Bulldogs Pee Wee football team squared off against the perennial New Hampshire State Champion Merrimack Cardinals this past weekend. The Jr. Bulldogs scored on their opening drive as Joe Mikol connected with Carlos Colon on a short TD pass. Mikol then kicked the extra point to make the score 8-0 in favor of Jr. Bulldogs. Hayden Austen brought an end to the Cardinals opening drive by recovering a fumble and the first quarter ended 8-0. Owen Christopher came out strong in the second quarter with some great running but it was Colon who gained the bulk of the yardage when Hunter Fennessy connected with him for a 60 yard catch and run for a TD to bring the score to 15-0. This was the score to end the half as the Jr. Bulldogs D made sure the Cardinals did not get on the board in the first half. Unable to crack the Jr. Bulldogs defense, the Cardinals punted on their first possession but pinned the Jr. Bulldogs deep in their end. The Cardinals recovered a fumble and took it into the end-zone to narrow the score to 15-8. The Jr. Bulldogs O continued to move the ball with big runs from Russ Erwin but it was Colon again who scored. This time Fennessy connected with him for a 75 yard catch and run to up the lead to 21-8 to end the third. The Cardinals were able to get on the board again when they connected with a long catch and run to again narrow the lead to 21-14. The point after attempt was blocked by Christopher. Kasey Mahoney returned the ensuing kickoff down the sideline for a TD to quickly get those points back. Cam Healey thwarted the next Cardinals drive with a nice interception on the sideline but the Cardinals were able to get back on the

board later in the quarter when they broke a short run around the end and come within a TD with the score now 27-20. Austen broke through the middle this time to block the extra point. A number of penalties pushed the Jr. Bulldogs back deep in their zone where they eventually turned the ball over. With time running out, the Cardinals were able to punch it in and convert the 2 point extra point and win the game 28-27.
