Tiny Mite Cheer
Bedford’s PA system was shut off due to the early morning kickoff time, but the capacity crowd at Preston Stadium woke up this bucolic community anyway with a thunder of applause as the Tiny Mite’s “Shock & Awe” offense simply overwhelmed Seacoast. Behind the precision shotgun snaps of Teddy Bond, QB Hudson Schmitt ran wild, scoring 3 TDs and accumulating over 120 yards rushing on only 6 carries. His partner in crime, Logan O’Connell added 2 TDs and gained 100 yards in a series of jukes that left Adrian Peterson asking for a tutorial. Drew Redfern capped off the scoring with his first career TD on a successful race to the cone. Bedford’s offensive line of Noah Humphrey, Jake Boughter, Beau Dunker, and Graham “Big G” Chmielecki was impressive in thwarting the Titans attempt to stop the onslaught. Bedford’s “Bermuda Triangle” defense swallowed up Seacoast runners, adding them to the missing persons list as Monster Back Evan Maslanka, Nolan Murphy, Andre Steinbrueck, Beau Boughter, and Tristin Leck all had career days, leaving paw prints everywhere. Any runner that somehow advanced beyond the pack of dogs was summarily sent to “Otero Island” as its caretaker Trenton Otero played lockdown corner all morning. Go Bulldogs!
Our Tiny Mite Cheerleaders kept the crowd toasty warm on this beautiful Fall day with their loud voices, big smiles and Bulldog spirit!! The Cheerleaders wore pink socks and a pink bow today to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness month! Great job today Bedford!!

Bedford Red compiled over 300+ rushing yards en route to a 30 – 0 victory over the Amherst Patriots early Sunday morning. A 47-yard touchdown run from Luke Soden on the second play of the game starting the onslaught, which continued throughout the day with Spencer Henrichon, Alex Grudinskas and Kevin Sheridan each having runs of over 35+ yards and each scoring a touchdown. The offensive line, lead by Nate Clark, Dylan Soden, Jack Mastrodicasa, Ethan Steichen and Tyler Johnson played flawless football as the Bulldogs jumped to an early 22-0 halftime lead. Drew Brothers and Brady O’Connell commanded the offensive while Caleb Goldstein, Teghan McConnell and Brock Tamburello blocked and ran successfully. Defensively, Bedford dominated the interior with strong performances from Kevin Mastodicasa, Christian (The Speech) Morley, Jacob and Tyler Parshay and Will Helmke resulting in less than 50 rushing yards from the Amherst Patriots. Dylan Soden added to the scoring with three successful extra point kicks! Bedford Red plays the Merrimack Cardinals next Sunday.
Mighty Might Silver played with real heart in their first loss against a tough Seacoast Titans squad, 13-18. Danny “Diesel” Black ran for both touchdowns of the day, one of which was followed by a Ledger Russell extra point. Danny was seen thanking his blockers Evan Dunker, Brady Jackson, Justin Chiras, Nick Polishan and Charlie Cariello after his first 60 yard touchdown run, knowing that everything starts with good blocking. Jack “the punisher” Riso’s interior running helped soften the defense for long touchdown runs. Ethan Chmielecki debuted at QB, starting a pass play by Danny to Ronan Ballistreri for a huge gain. When coaches needed huge blocks, Aaron Chmielecki and Tyrece Sealey answered the call, opening holes for several runs into the teeth of the Seacoast defense. On the defensive side of the ball, our team made Seacoast earn every yard. Brody “Ty Law” Cassidy treated the crowd with several tackles from his safety position, saving at least one touchdown. Dean Poltronieri, Dominic Carey, Hunter Crowley, Zack and Kaeden Elmer emerged from several piles after team tackling several Seacoast runners. We play Manchester at home next Sunday.

Jr. Pee Wee Red Football The Bedford Jr. Bulldogs Jr. Pee Wee Red football team lost to the Amherst Patriots 6-0 in a defensive slug-fest. Ryan Guerrette and Sam Ward got the start at the nose tackles rotating with Ethan Healy and Nathan Pratte and all did a great job of clogging up the A gap all day. The Patriots did manage to drive the ball down to the 5 yard line but the Bulldogs D held and the first half ended with the teams knotted at zero. The second half was similar but the Patriots did manage to get on the board following a spectacular side-line catch that was otherwise well covered. The bulldogs kept the score at 6 when Graham Frederick and Josh Tobin blitzed to block the PAT. The Bulldogs D returned to form for the remainder of the game with big tackles coming from the Rice brothers Kieran and Thomas as well as Ben Stuart, Andrew McGee and Cam Cilley. Presley Trento made big tackles all day from his safety spot as well as coming up with a big interception late in the game.

Pee Wee Football The Bedford Pee Wee Junior Bulldogs moved to 3-1 with an exciting 21-20 double overtime victory over North County, Massachusetts. The first three quarters were scoreless. Russ Erwin lead the defense with an interception and a great tackle for a loss. Finn O’ Neil and Ryan Ashburner were very strong on the defensive line and Eli Raby and Mike Remick each had big sacks in the game. With three minutes to go Owen Umansky hit J.T. DeLacey who raced 80 yards for the go ahead score. After Conor Mullin booted a huge PAT off a great Colin Chandonnet snap it looked like the Bulldogs would get their win but the Panthers marched the length of the field to tie it at 8. In overtime Umansky again hit DeLacey for a score on a huge 4th down pass. The Panthers matched to send it to a second OT. In the second OT, Umansky found DeLacey on 4th down again for the score. For the PAT, Connor Guibord raced behind a big Brian Barbaro and Nathan DeFazio block to put the Bulldogs up by seven. Unfortunately the Panthers matched the
touchdown but the Bulldogs blocked the PAT to secure the win!

Mason Brown played a text book Free Safety providing coverage over the top and just missed out on his first interception, assisting on the play was Jackson Barlow at CB. The offense kicked in in the second half with Tyler Spires taking a pitch 60 yards for the first score setup by a beautiful downfield block by Jack Lavoie that provided the lane for Spires to go in untouched and was capped by a Will Detscher conversion. Following that up Lavoie bounced a nice run inside then outside for the Bulldogs final score with Gunner Grant sweeping the corner for the conversion on a drive led by QB Kyle Lavigne and Alex Bleakley running hard on the inside with multiple first down conversions on the drive. Excellent holes were provided all night by the road grading of Connor Winn, Caleb Boulard, Ryan Charest, Evan Dunn and Ben Sylvain. After a late TD by Lowell, the Bulldogs went back to D after losing the ensuing onside kick only to have O'Mara, Detscher, Sylvain and Peicker slammed the door shut with a sack and fumble recovery that put the Bulldog O into victory formation for the second win in a row bringing the team back to .500 on the season.

Junior High League Jr. Varsity Football The JV Bulldogs took on a very good Lowell team Saturday night that pitted two evenly matched teams that was decided in the last minute of the game. The Bulldog D showed it's strength early and often pitching a shutout through the first 3.5 quarters led by Matt Peicker and Will Detscher who were all over the
Under the lights at Bedford High, the Junior High Varsity team advanced to 4 and 0 against Lowell behind the strong line play of the big boys: Nathan Roach, CKW, Drew Allard, and Colby Martel. The weakness in the Lowell defense was off-tackle where Mikey Akstin, Timmy Greene, and Joey Leary pounded the ball down hill. Joey Lupo made some dynamic plays including a huge 70 yard interception and run and his defensive teammates Arron Skaling, Hayden Cheney, Birthday Boy Jack Jones and tough inside play by Jack Grogan gave Lowell fits all night long. Drake Tomkinson, Torey
Helton, Peter Falvey, and Zack Barnard keep getting better and while the passing game stumbled with direct snap problems, Jordan Dyer showed poise in the pocket to get a few completions and Nate Frederick found two receivers who just couldn't hang on to the ball. Austin Dearborn, Matt Scwartz, Jake Plage, and Steven Watson contributed at offensive and defensive end and Trevor Soden, Alex Bleakley, and Ben Sylvain did their jobs in the win. Bedford is on to Sandborn.
