he Ofsted report has not yet been published after our inspection on the 8th and 9th March 2016. Ofsted have held the report back as they needed to gather more evidence. This evidence has now been gathered by an HMI inspector on Friday 18th April 2016.We do believe that the report will be published very soon. As soon as we know it has been published all parents will receive a copy and it will go onto the school website. Unfortunately the contents of the report are confidential until it is published.
Wednesday 11th May Year 4 That History Bloke
Thank you to all of the children and parents who supported the launch of the Daft as a brush fundraising event.
As part of our new Romans topic, the Year 3 had a visit from ‘That History Bloke’, Richard the Roman. He talked about life in Roman times with the children, showing the children various artefacts, objects and Roman armour to help illustrate it. The children took part in a variety of Roman activities including: being a Roman Soldier (marching, armour, battle training); A Roman Slave (learn to look after your ‘master’ by toga tying); being a Roman Scribe (making ink and writing numerals using wax tablets and quills); Roman Children (to have fun with toys and games). The children had a wonderful day learning all about the Romans and we are all looking forward to our work on this topic this term.
