[email protected] In this class each student will make one 18” diameter Tuffet. A KIT of 6” x 18” round- upholstery foam, ¾” sanded and drilled plywood round, 4 tee-nuts, gathering cord, button securing cords, 2 ½” button and 1 yard of upholstery batting plus four bun feet will be available for purchase in the first class for an $88.00 fee. Please write your check to Sharyn Cole. Wednesday, June 4, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm (1st class) Supplies: (1st class) In this class you will learn foundation sewing. 1. Before class – cut sixty-four (64) 2” by 20” strips of fabric. If you want to coordinate your fabrics like the sample shown above, you will need eight (8) - ¼ yard cuts of fabric. 2. Or, you might want to use a Bali Pop or Moda Jelly Roll for your tuffet and the cutting will already be done. If you choose a Bali Pop or Moda Jelly Roll you need to purchase only ONE; it is NOT necessary to trim these 2 ½” strips to 2”. 3. 1 1/4 yards muslin for the foundation piecing. 4. Freezer Paper for tracing the pattern. Should be at least 12” wide and 24” long 5. Sewing Machine in good working order with a zigzag stitch. Please check your machine manual beforehand and review how to increase the width and length of your machine’s zigzag stitch. Always bring your sewing machine manual to class. 6. Thread that coordinates well with most of your fabric 7. Straight Pins 8. Scissors to cut paper with 9. Mechanical pencil 10. 24” plastic ruler 11. Rotary cutter with a sharp blade and mat 12.
