ADULT CLUB AGM
Valley Rovers Juvenile GAA Club will hold its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 12/12/2017 at 20.00 in Knockavilla Hall.
Valley Rovers Adult Club held a very successful AGM on Tuesday last November 28th. A lot of topics were discussed on the night such as:
FINANCE
1. U21 B Hurling (In particular being thrown out of the competition). 2. Election of officers to the County Board. 3. The continuance of a Carrigdhoun Senior Hurling team. Finally on the night the following officers were elected 2018:
GREAT NEWS!!! It has been confirmed by the Department of Transport Tourism & Sport that Valley Rovers will receive a Grant of €115,000 for a much needed "Sand based natural grass sports pitch and equipment". Well done to all who helped prepare and submit the application and to all those who supported it. To all we are very grateful! In particular a huge thank you to Adrian McEntee (Chairman of the Development Committee) who was the main driving force behind this application.

Also on the night the club elected a new President as outing President Mr. Jim O’Mahony had served his 3 year term. Mr Tony McCarthy took over as Club President and in a speech he compared the club today to the club that he first remembered and played for. He stated it was an honour to be made president of this great club.
LADIES FOOTBALL
The launch of the “STRICTLY VALLEYS 2018" will take place on Friday the 1st of December at the Munster Arms Hotel Bandon at 8pm, come along, meet our dancers and see who their dance partners will be for the BIG NIGHT in March.
BEST OF LUCK Best of luck from Valley Rovers Ladies Football club to Laura Fitzgerald and Mourneabbey who are playing Carnacon Mayo on the 3rd Dec in the Ladies Senior football All-Ireland. Laura was instrumental in the teams semi-final victory over Dublin’s FoxrockCabinteely scoring 2-3. Laura is Deirdre Callanan's daughter formerly of Valley Rovers.
