Opening Kick The Bullets play their home opener this evening as they face off with Stevenson University in a nonconference tilt. The Series Stevenson holds a 2-1 edge versus Gettysburg in the all-time series that started in 2010. All three games have resulted in a shutout, and neither side has scored more than two goals in any of the matches. Last Meeting Hannah Theurer scored off an assist from Melissa Seidner '16 in the 53rd minute to lift Gettysburg to a 1-0 victory at Stevenson last season. The Bullets outshot the Mustangs 15-3, but Stevenson kept it close behind a 12-save effort from Tiffany McKee. Eliza Gray '16 turned aside two shots to earn the shutout for Gettysburg. Last Time Out The Bullets kept host Lebanon Valley off the scoreboard for over 98 minutes, but the Flying Dutchmen broke through with 1:33 left in the first overtime to capture a 1-0 victory in Gettysburg's season opener this past Saturday. The Orange and Blue held a 10-6 shot advantage but could not dent goalie Taylor Reinhold, who stopped both of the Bullets' shots on goal. Making her first collegiate start, sophomore Kiera Loftus also made two saves for Gettysburg. Last Season The Bullets are coming off another outstanding season, finishing 10-2-6 a year ago. The team also finished 7-2-1 in the Centennial Conference play to place fourth n the conference standings, qualifying

for the CC tournament for the sixth year in a row. It was also the sixth-straight season that the team won at least 10 matches. Stingy Defense Last season Gettysburg made its mark as an outstanding defensive team once again, holding its opponents to six goals for the year. The Bullets also tied the school record for shutouts (13) for the third year in a row while finishing sixth in Division III in goals-against average (0.31), seventh in shutout percentage (.722), and 11th in save percentage (.891). Balanced Offense Eight different Bullets who scored a goal last season are back, including senior forward Hannah Theurer, who tallied four goals while tying for the team lead with three assists. Senior midfielder Julia Ramsey is also back after earning First Team All-Centennial Conference and Second Team NSCAA All-Region honors. Scouting Stevenson  The Mustangs opened their season this past Friday with a 4-2 non-conference victory over Methodist University in a match played at Salisbury University. Senior Alexis Siejack scored a pair of goals to lead the way.  The Mustangs went 9-11 last season and qualified the Commonwealth Conference playoffs, going 6-2 in league play.  Junior Kellen Wittman returns after leading Stevenson with nine goals last season while senior Jordan Porretto is back after contributing five goals. In addition, junior goalie Tiffany McKee returns after playing nearly every minute in goal last year, posting a 1.17 goals-against average and a .802 save percentage.
