Game Notes FIRST PITCH The Bullets take on Ursinus College in a Centennial Conference doubleheader this afternoon. The two sides will play a pair of nine-inning games. SENIOR DAY Gettysburg will hold a brief ceremony before today’s twinbill to honor its six seniors, who are playing their final home Saturday doubleheader. ALL-TIME SERIES Ursinus holds a 42-28-1 lead over Gettysburg in the all-time series that dates back to 1896. The two sides have split their regular-season series in each of the last two years, and the Bears have won three of the last five meetings overall. LAST TIME OUT Gettysburg pounded out a season-high 21 hits, but a late-game rally fell just short as the Bullets dropped a 17-14 decision to Johns Hopkins in a wild Centennial Conference tilt this past Tuesday here at Kirchhoff Field. Every Bullet starter batted safely, including sophomore Ryan LaCoe, who finished 5-for-6 with five singles. Sophomore Joe Giovinco added three hits while sophomore Dominick Gasparro, freshman Sean Murphy, senior Josh Cubell, and senior Jack Seibert stroked two apiece. Gettysburg trailed 15-3 at the seventh-inning stretch before scoring 11 runs over the final three innings, including six in the bottom of the ninth, when the Bullets had the tying run on deck. SCHOOL RECORD With his five-hit performance against Johns Hopkins, LaCoe tied the school record for hits in a game. He became the first Bullet to achieve the feat since Henry Klimowicz ’16 also went 5-for-6 in a 17-6 victory at McDaniel on April 27, 2016.

Bears earned a 10-7 victory to end the Bullets’ season. J.J. Lucido drove in three runs in his final game as a Bullet while Banks Northington went 2-for-5 with a double in his first career start. Alex Mumme hit two home runs for Ursinus while the Bears’ bullpen held the Bullets to one run over the final 4 2/3 innings. BULLET BITS Prior to last night, Gettysburg’s top-three hitters were separated by just six points: sophomore Ryan LaCoe (.358), freshman Sean Murphy (.354), and senior Chuck Probst (.352), who leads the team in runs (19), hits (31), doubles (nine), triples (three), and RBIs (18)... Senior Brad DeMartino is tops on the team in games started (seven), innings pitched (34), and strikeouts (38). SCOUTING THE BEARS Heading into Friday, Ursinus was undefeated (3-0-1) over its last four games...Senior Travis Kozak (.373) was the team’s leading hitter while sophomore Alex Mumme was hitting .355 with a team-leading five home runs...On the mound, freshman Nolan Graber was leading the way, going 2-2 with a team-low 4.05 ERA over six games, two starts, and 20 innings pitched. TAKE ALS YARD The Gettysburg College baseball team is teaming up in the fight against ALS once again through its Take ALS Yard initiative. Throughout the season, the Bullets are selling Take ALS Yard hats and t-shirts at the table next to the home dugout, with all proceeds going to Project ALS. The team will also accept donations at the Take ALS Yard website, takealsyard.com. Now in its sixth season, Take ALS Yard has raised over $55,000 for ALS research and was inspired by two friends of the Gettysburg College baseball program who were diagnosed with ALS and have since passed away. The team will hold its annual “Take ALS Yard Day” on Friday, April 27 prior to its Centennial Conference tilt versus McDaniel at 3:30 p.m.

LAST SEASON VERSUS URSINUS Gettysburg and Ursinus met three times last season. The two sides split their regular-season series in Collegeville before the Bears claimed their match-up in the Centennial Conference tournament at Johns Hopkins. In the opener, Logan Sneed went 3-for-5 to lead the Bullets, who won 5-3. Brad DeMartino worked 7 2/3 innings to earn the win for Gettysburg. Ursinus came back to capture the nightcap 16-2, when Travis Kozak, Alex Campbell, and Carter Usowski all finished 4-for-5. Then in their playoff matchup, the
