Welcome to West Oahu AYSO Region 769’s U5 Fall 2017 Season. The U5 program is an introduction to soccer. Soccer skills or knowledge is not required for participation in our U5 program. Fall 2017 U5 Season Begins: Saturday, August 5, 2017 Ends: Saturday, September 9*, 2017 -six sessions, weather permitting or a session may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as harsh weather or field closures
*ending date dependent on field availability Where: Waipio Soccer Complex, Field 2 & 4 Located at the end of Waipio Point Access Road, past Waipahu High School and Ted Makalena Golf Course, drive through the soccer complex and turn left into the last parking lot, Fields 2 & 4 are on your right. Time: Girls 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Boys 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. (although attendance in either session is acceptable) 1st ~45 minutes – drills with parent 2nd ~15 minutes – game All players will participate in introductory lessons in randomly formed groups. Required: Parent/Guardian to assist your child with drills, please wear shoes Equipment: Size 3 ball, shin guards, soccer cleats (athletic shoes OK), water, uniform (jersey, shorts, socks – provided by the region and will be received before the start of the season), and apply sunscreen *Please check-in prior to every session, arrive and be ready to participate before the start time *Snacks will be provided by the region, a mini Awards Ceremony will be organized for the last session *jewelry (necklaces, earrings, etc.), head bands, hairpins must be removed and open wounds covered
