West Oahu AYSO Region 769 Board Meeting Minutes April 19, 2017 Meeting called to order at 7:48 pm by Derek Turqueza Members Present: P. Acierto , K. Cannella, D. Cardona, M. Cardona, R. Daite, C. Kaawaloa, J. Fernandez, W. Ferry , J. Gamiao, L. McElhannon, E. Paredes, P. Poepoe, J. Poepoe, D. Turqueza , C. Ucol
Minutes from March 2017 were presented. Motion to approve: E. Paredes, second: P. Acierto. Motion passes unanimously. Treasurers’ report was handed out to the Board. Motion to approve Treasurers Report by D. Turqueza, Second: E. Paredes Motion passes unanimously Registrar: Registration dates: 4/21 at Keoneula Elementary 5-8 pm “Get Up, Get Moving” family fitness event. Meadow Gold will provide milk and juice for attendees. James will pick up! 5/21 @ Waikele 1-4pm, 4/29 @ Waipio 10-1 am Pam will validate people on Sombrero. Please look at the site and give suggestions to Derek. CVPA: Jes Gamiao, no report Interested in doing some volunteer recognition. Ideas include a movie ticket, a mailing for all the volunteers or to look at other regions and see what they are doing. AGC’s: No Formal Reports Referee Admin: No Report W. McElhannon and M. Cannella will coordinate the trainings for July and August Coach Admin: No Report Extra/Select Tryouts will happen in June. Two dates will be provided. Suggestion to inform parents about BOL, distribute uniforms and give important new rule information to families at the July 22nd Parent’s meeting in July. Will do a Coaches clinic in May for U12. VIP Program: No Report
New Business: EXPO: Derek advises those to check in early. He will make sure payment is all completed and no one needs to pay for parking or room charges. Board Shirts: R. Siobal will get shirts to Board Members before the EXPO. Rainbow Tournament: Applications due 5/2/17 If you have a questions, K. Cannella is the Region 769 Tournament Coordinator No Ref forms needed. Please ask Coaches to not write checks to our Region. On the application it states how the checks should be written. Coach Evaluation Tool: Elaina handed out an example of an evaluation tool that she has used with her team. Parents are asked to evaluate their own player and turn in the forms to the Coach. This enables the Coach to gain information about the player that she may or may not see during the game.
