Success Network Updates • Kindergarten Readiness – Standard setting on June 27, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Stan and Christie will present at the StriveTogether National Convening, October 3-5, in Phoenix, Arizona • Kindergarten Readiness: Lenawee’s Story of Nothing to Something Better!
Success Network Updates • Reading By Third Grade – Dialogue with Office of Field Services on Third Grade Reading Law on May 19 , 7:30 -8:30 a.m. – 2nd Goodwill Book sort on June 7, 10:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Summer Pop-Up Labs • families with children of incoming PreK-4th grade • Each week will begin with a Read Aloud • Make & Take stations • Free Book Fair • Sites at Hudson, Addison, Britton, and Porter
Success Network Updates • Building Safe and Healthy Communities – EDP data to be harvested this week from Career Cruising sites – Trauma subgroup is planning a conference on August 16th – Restorative justice subgroup is working with Tecumseh – What is the continuum of care for students in Lenawee County? – CASEL framework recommendation
Success Network Updates • Post Secondary Enrollment – “Talent & Education Development Summit: Advancing Postsecondary and Workforce Development for Our Students”, June 9th, Washtenaw ISD, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Latino Conference on October 20 for post-secondary focus Will apply for Innovative Program grant from MCAN High school graduate “summer melt” community conversation Focus support for Lenawee Prep graduates to continue post-secondary plans
– Next meeting is August 10 • Update on MI Bright Future • Conference planning
Scholarship Conversation • How can we ensure that every student who applies for a scholarship gets a least one? • How can we increase the number of recurring scholarships to assist persistent students? • How can we collect the data on other scholarships that are announced at local high school achievement nights?

LC2C Update • Interviews for Director to be held late May and early June • Final draft of the 2016 community report coming soon! • We are awaiting our next badge, Sustaining, from StriveTogether • Jeff Edmondson has left StriveTogether executive director position • Stan will present at the monthly Data Managers online meeting in May • LISD has agreed to participate with MDE as a partner in a Transformation Zone on Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
