WOODSTOCK GIRLS SOFTBALL LEAGUE ADDITIONAL 10U TOURNAMENT RULES 1. A game is 6 innings, subject to time limit. 2. An 11” official softball will be used. 3. A pitcher is limited to 3 innings per game. One pitch constitutes an inning. 4. Pitching distance is 35’. 5. A maximum of 7 runs may be scored by a team per inning. Unlimited runs may be scored in the last inning. 6. Stealing of 2nd or 3rd base is allowed after the ball crosses the plate. 7. Runners may NOT steal home. 8. Runners may NOT advance on an overthrow of a steal of 2nd or 3rd base. They may only score on a batted ball, not on an overthrow by the catcher on an attempted steal. 9. Runners may advance one base on an overthrow of a batted ball. 10. Drop 3rd strike rule is NOT in effect. 11. Infield fly rule is NOT in effect. 12. Defense will consist of 10 players. Outfielders must start in the outfield grass. They may enter the dirt area after the ball crosses the plate. The short center fielder may start in the dirt area but must be at least 5 feet behind 2nd base until the ball crosses the plate. 13. Bunting is allowed. 14. Pitchers must wear protective headgear.
