In 2013, we paid $109 million in royalties for our oil production on the reservation. In 2012, we paid $86 million in royalties.
In December 2010, we acquired Dakota-3 E&P Company LLC, a company that holds approximately 80,000 net acres on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation. Our purchase represents a $949 million investment in North Dakota’s Williston Basin, where we produce 15,000 barrels of oil per day from the Bakken Shale. Our local offices are located in Minot and New Town. Today, we have an interest in more than 100 local wells on a gross basis.
